The whole JK controversy aside… the books were already adapted once not too long ago… im just not interested in another retelling of the exact same story. It just tells me the Harry Potter franchise needs new creative direction. Purely from a writing standpoint, JK rowling is a great world-builder but a TERRIBLE character writer. I think they should tell a totally new story set in the same universe with a better creative team. I get Jk created it, but it’s gotten stale. Time to switch it up.
