If you’re looking for non-scary Halloween fun, I definitely recommend going to a pumpkin patch! Especially if you can find one with a corn maze and/or hayrides. A lot of them will be more “family friendly” during the day and horror/scare focused at night (at least in my experience), so there’s fun for everyone regardless of what your favorite way to celebrate Halloween is😊 You can also get pumpkins to carve there!

Aldo if you want to experience having kids come get candy, in some places, you can find carnivals with booths that let trick or treaters come get candy OR look for a Trunk Or Treat Function where people decorate trunk of car or bed of truck and kids come trick or treating!

Some favorite fall/Halloween activities are going to pumpkin patches, doing a corn maze, and going on a hay ride. A favorite treat you can usually find at these places is apple cider doughnuts. They are really good.

As an adult every house I’ve lived in I never get trick-or-treaters. now my husband and I go Halloween camping so that we can hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters and I still get that experience. You could look for a trunk or treat in your area and sign up to be one of the vehicles. Definitely need to watch nightmare before Christmas. Best Halloween movie ever.

Who does the artwork at Oden's Eye? Because it's really always stunning, it really has an identity, that Norse mythology Oden's Eye identity. The representation of Hela (whom I had never heard of before last year, so thank you for enlighting me😉) is now so iconic, worthy of a fine tattoo. It scares me to "death" (no pun intended 😁) yet I find it beautiful. I love the symbolism, the métaphore, it's a beautiful piece of art. Shout out to the artist(s) 🎨 🖌 💖

You’re such a beautiful person, inside and out, and it’s a privilege to be able to listen to you talk about makeup and share your creations with us. I’ve seen some of the rude comments about how people were annoyed you were chosen to do a Halloween collab but I personally think you’re a great choice. Maybe you’re new to Halloween, but the Hela concept makes sense for the holiday and in my opinion it’s a fresh take on the spooky season, so they can F off honestly. I live in Finland and didn't even know about Halloween as a kid. (I am 42) My daughter on the other hand loves Halloween and it is a pretty big thing for kids these days. My daughter plans her costume two months ahead. This year she will be her favorite character in a video game. So nothing scary. She has been going on a trick-or-treat round every year. She is 12 now. (But already a teen in every aspect.) Because of her, I have been carving pumpkins and it is a lot easier than I thought!

For adult Halloween: I recommend pumpkin patches to pick a pumpkin. Then definitely carve it! I think it’s fun, it does take a few hours. Don’t try to do anything super difficult. Cleaning out all the seeds from the inside will help with mold growth. There are ways to make it last longer, including bleaching the inside. Give it a google. It’s not going to last longer than a few days otherwise. 🎉🎉❤

As a massive Halloween and everything spooky and dark fan, I’m always happy to see someone getting into it. I just want people to appreciate it and have fun. My husband and I like to go to our zoo for Halloween, because they have a special trail set up during October with thousands of carved pumpkins, based on a specific theme with music playing and lights. As a colorful-makeup-loving yet colorblind person, I simply LOVE your channel. Because I have a golden/olive undertone, I also know most of your tricks also work for me. You explain what the colors are and how one could combine them, and I get a lot of inspiration from it. (I have trouble seing reds and greens, specially undertones, to be more specific.) I just purchesed the whole Helaween bundle, and just as it was with the original Hela palette, I know I can always come back to the swatch videos and be sure of what colors I am using. Yes! That was going to be my suggestion as well. Sometimes the city or police department will do a trunk-or-treat where you go to a school parking lot or a municipal building parking lot and give candy out kinda from your trunk. That way, kids that live in apartments or in neighborhoods that aren't as safe can have fun walking around with their parents and get candy. And YOU can dress up and see all their fun costumes too!

I enjoy going to the TX Renaissance Festival for Halloween it’s just fascinating seeing everyone & just something fun & different - plus I’m always down for their fresh Kettle corn! The day ends with a firework display which I always enjoy. I highly recommend going if not just to experience it while you’re here in TX. Just make sure you wear comfy shoes & possibly a sweater/umbrella.

So happy your dog is doing better! Carving a pumpkin is fun! I recommend using newspaper, trash bags to collect the “guts” of the pumpkin. It can be messy. You can be very creative carving your pumpkin. I’m basic with making a jack o lantern. Also put a small candle in the pumpkin to glow! 🎃

Oh, how hard it is when your baby gets sick! But so wonderful when they recover with the help of medicine. We've had a couple of scary experiences with our dogs in the past few weeks. Our adult Saint Bernhard got a stick stuck in her mouth and blocked her airway, luckily my husband got it out. Our puppy is limping and the vet can't determine exactly why. At best a stretch and at worst a problem with the hip, so she is on painkillers and anti-inflammatories. So now it's just a matter of crossing our fingers and hoping for the best. I myself have fallen in the woods and hurt my foot badly, which is so annoying as I'm going to have back surgery in two weeks, so it's really crappy weeks right now. Now I'm looking forward to getting your palettes home so I can play with color now that I probably won't be able to move much for a month or so. I really love the looks you been doing ❤

I'm a ballet teacher in Malmö and Halloween is just becoming big with children, schools here are calling it Höstfest. Last year I had them coming to ballet in costume without even asking... A 6 yo from a very religious and modest family came in black, dark circles under her eyes and her mother even bought a red lipstick to fake blood dripping from the kid's mouth. 😂

Angie you might have fun pumpkin carving since you are so creative! Our tradition is we carve pumpkins and we leave them lit with candle inside outside on the porch Halloween night (it’s supposed to offer protection). Then after Halloween we smash the pumpkins in the woods near our home and the deer eat them. We also bake the pumpkin seeds we pull out and eat them. You can also save the parts you carve out and cook them .

Actualy for me Helaween release made so much sense - because as Swedish brand that has portion of its base in US market it made a lot of sense to do Halloween collab (like it was bound to happen)but it was amazing move from them to contact you, someone that has experienced Halloween for the first time AND is from Sweden. Like for the brand like Oden’s eye (nowadays they really try to stick to their original themes but I understand why they are open to different ones too) it’s quite a lucky combination that gives them exceptional opportunity. It’s the same concept that IMO works for Nomad cosmetics that takes their experience from different destinations and turns them into palettes. Nothing more nothing less. Omg for some reason I remember Hocus Pocus from my childhood (we don’t celebrate Halloween where I am from so it’s weird that it was aired in TV). And I remember almost nothing from the actual movie but the feeling I got from watching it.. magical. Last month I decided to rewatch it, fully understanding that I might ruin my happy childhood memory and I was so happy at the end. My inner child was jumping up and down.. just wow. Let’s say it’s my new comfort movie. Bravo. Congrats to you too. Unfortunately I have too many dupes (or close enough dupes) of certain shades in my collection it wouldn’t be wise to purchase palettes but I like lippies so.. I might bite the bullet and buy those. Yesssss! Carving pumpkins is so fun! 🎃💜 It gets messy, which can be annoying, but it's not so bad that it isn't worth it for me. My best tip is to tape a large trash bag to your carving surface and try to keep all the mess contained on there. Also have a smaller trash bag ready to go in front of you for all the pumpkin guts - it makes clean up much easier. And don't forget to get little tealight candles to display your masterpiece! I also prefer the non-scary parts of Halloween, some movies I love during spooky season are the Hotel Transylvania ones, the Scooby Doo movies, Ghostbusters, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Spirited Away, Beetlejuice - more fun than scary. I love a corn maze during fall/spooky season you can usually find kid friendly ones that are less jump scare more fun. My mom always made witch finger cookies so tasty and kind of fun!

Ideas for the fun, kids' side of Hallowe'en: a corn maze, a hayride, carving a pumpkin (very messy and do-able), making pumpkin pie or pumpkin muffins or pumpkin soup, picking apples. Many community centers and churches have trunk-or-treat, with treats in people's car trunks around a parking lot, and the children parade around to everyone's car. See if you can adopt a friend who lives in a kids' neighborhood so you can have little trick-or-treaters.

Oven-roasted, fresh pumpkin seeds with a bit of salt, pepper, and paprika are amazing! They're my dad's favorite thing about halloween and I have carved pumpkins with him almost every year since I was old enough to hold a knife. There's also a way you can make a BB-8 pumpkin with a big pumpkin and a small pumpkin. I also like pumpkin painting, usually with goofy faces--one of my parents' dining room chairs is permanently paint-splattered from that. It's so easy to carve a pumpkin--pro tip: use a serrated knife!

Ugh, me too! I'm a huge horror fan and I absolutely hate jump scares. They're not scary in the right way, just startling, cheap and annoying. Give me an unsettling atmosphere of slowly creeping dread where you can feel something is just slightly off and wrong but you can't quite pinpoint what at first, that's the sort of horror I eat up like candy, not the *SUDDEN LOUD NOISE* garbage that is most mainstream horror.

My bestie lives in a neighborhood that doesnt have trick or treaters, so she goes to places that do "trunk or treat" where they hand out candy from their cars. They decorate their cars and trunks and dress up and hand out candy to the kiddos! She does it every year! I'm sure you could find something like that near you if you wanted to try it and see how you like it!

I love little kid Halloween 🎃 It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is an annual watch in our house. As for activities, carving or painting pumpkins, bake pumpkin or apple treats, we always make a pot of chili for Halloween night. If there are no trick or treaters near you, sometimes the mall has trick or treats. Seeing all the little ones get excited is the best.

I'm not big on big & bright colors for my eyes but I i did pick up the bundle because i just love these color stories! So I'll have to break out of my comfort zone (thank you for that btw ☺️). My big goofball had to have knee surgery cuz he tore something and it was rough, he also had to go through heartworm treatment when we first adopted him. So I understand. Best wishes for him! ❤

There are Halloween dog parades where I live (near Chicago). You could enter your pets or just watch. I watched a dog parade years ago and really enjoyed it, and I'm a cat person.

If you have a friend who lives in a neighborhood with a lot of kids you could pass out candy at their house. Some areas have trunk or treat events, decorate your car and pass out candy. Also, some zoos or museums have Halloween events. Have fun!

I'm so happy that Tesla is beginning to feel better and is able to eat again! Also, you have just as much right to enjoy Halloween fun as anyone else. Don't let those snarky comments overshadow your joy! Near me, the zoos host a Zoo Boo where everyone, kids and adults too, dress up in costume and they walk through the zoo at night to see the animals and trick or treat throughout the zoo. They have the zoo lit up with lots of festive lights and have all the Halloween decor sitting on the zoo paths. That might be something fun to do. Candy corn is super sweet so I do like it, but definitely in small amounts. The regular candy corn has a very sweet vanilla flavor but my favorite is called harvest corn that has a very sweet chocolate flavor. And, my favorite movie for Halloween is Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. Congrats on the release of your Helaween collection! It is definitely a gorgeous collection to be proud of😊❤

Not gonna lie, my first thought when this collab was announced is how often you’ve said you’re not that in to Halloween but I think it’s cool that you’re dipping your toes into such a popular cultural thing in the U.S. now that you’re here. I bought the full collection… so excited as the only other Oden’s Eye palettes that I’ve gotten are their Christmas palettes and they are phenomenal. I think you can always decorate the house in cute halloween decor and also do pumpkin carving! Halloween candy bakes is also very much a thing in the US (if you can stop yourself from eating all the candy at once!). You can also go to pumpkin patches and often times there are local pumpkin festivals that showcase different types of carvings

Our favorite after Halloween activity is the pumpkin launch. People bring the pumpkins they no longer need and theres a catapult that launches them. There are usually some fun runs around this time where the runners are in costume which can be entertaining.

I'm from Australia, and we didn't grow up with Halloween either. I moved to America 17 years ago and got to really enjoy Halloween with my son. It's adorable. He's almost 15 now and has been uninterested in going trick or treating for the last couple of years. In my town the main street goes all out, all the houses decorate and kids come from neigbouring towns because it's so fun. Some people even have eskies (coolers) of beer/seltzers for the adults, one time, one house had two kegs outside pouring the parents beers, Some places have hot chocolate... etc. My parents came to visit and they wanted to see all the houses and kids so we went anyway, even without a child. It was still fun and awesome to see everyone dressed up and having fun. If you can find out where near you has an area, or neighbourhood like that, just go, have fun.

41st street and avenue G ish area of Austin is soooooo fun for Halloween. It’s now creepy/scary, just fun costumes and both kids and adults walking around. Also the rich people bug every inflatable so the decorations are pretty dang good. One year there was even a tiny garage “haunted house” themed as a weird alien science experiment. It was awesome

Oooo and I LOVE going to Six Flags here in San Antonio, TX this time of year!!! During the day, it’s kid/fam friendly. At night, it turns into Fright Fest where it’s more scary and for adults. It’s sooo fun!

I had to take my cat to the emergency vet a few weeks ago because he decided to not only eat a piece of string, but the sewing needle attached to it! While looking right at me! So much $$$ I debated seriously on if I "needed" both palettes in this launch, because I have both the Hela and the Solmane II, and I feel those both have a vibe similarity to these. (Being from Oden's Eye, it makes sense!) But after watching a few other creator's I like videos, I realized that Little Ghost looks amazing from a distance, and I love every single look that Trick or Treat makes. So.. Guess it just *had* to be both palettes! (Plus, I recently really fell in love with the formula again revisiting my Solmane II quite a bit this summer) Very excited to play with both palettes!

We live in the UK and sometimes have parties at home. We eat treats, dress up, do face paint, carve a pumpkin, play traditional games like apple bobbing and trying to bite a donut off a string (no hands allowed).

I also recommend baking Halloween treats! That is such a cozy thing to do at home to get into the spirit with a movie playing in the background- nightmare before christmas is my personal favorite. Anything apple or pumpkin 😋 and you can share it with the adults in your neighborhood if you don’t get trick or treaters. 🎃

You might want to watch Practical Magic, it is a little scary but, mostly just fun. Candy Corn is OK, it has a vanilla taste. Once I start sometimes I can't stop...lol! Poor Tesla, you are very good pet parents. Animals are very good at masking their pain, by the time it is evident the issue is often more severe. Really liking your channel and this orange pallette. Much of Halloween is based on some traditions from Samhian... it should be a little spooky but not scary. It is about respect for your loved ones that passed away. These spirits can trick or treat you. This is why this is said by the children. This is a time when the veil between world of the dead and the living is supposed to be thinnest. It's a time to ask the deceased for advice, favors, or to say goodbye to those that passed before you make peace or say goodbye. Yes, carving pumpkins is messy but fun. You can also salt or season the washed seeds and bake them for a snack.

I also don't have kids and can't do scary things, but Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday! I much prefer "spooky" and "witchy cute" things to "scary". I used to love going to Halloween-themed teas with my local EGL community. In 2020 my friends and I all dressed as Plague Doctors and we roamed the streets of downtown, silently reminding people to keep being careful. We also did a little impromptu photoshoot! The last few years I just dress up for the day in something fluffy and cute with Halloween themeing, maybe respectfully visit a graveyard with friends and look at the fall colors, or visit some of the public Día de los Muertos altars the local cultural centers and museums. I like how at Halloween nowadays we can acknowledge death in a healthy and beautiful way, allowing ourselves to mourn what is past and feel thankful for our lives now. 😊🖤💜🧡 Oh and the food, fall-themed food in America can be delicious 🤤🌽🥘🍠🥧🎃

You can draw what you want to cut in a sharpie and then follow the lines :D Then buy those cute tea lights and pop in em! Here in Canada, the main focus of Halloween is for kids to dress up in costumes and go door to door collecting candy. If you want to experience that, go to a neighbourhood that has a lot of families and go for a walk after supper, taking in all the yard decor and the “Trick or Treaters” (the costumed kids). Most neighbourhoods have some children, so you can decorate your yard and home, get yourself a costume and hand out candy! Enjoy, it is fun🎃

Pumpkin patch! Corn on thr cob, apple cider, apple cider donuts basically all the food at the pumpkin patch. Hay rides, corn maze, pumpkin carving with friends, bake the pumpkin seeds. Go walk around on Halloween in an area that does have trick or treaters just to see all the kiddos costumes

The collection was beautiful and am glad I picked it up. The trick or treat is more me than Ghost, but our college team is the first 2 colors of Ghost, and we dress at work for the games fairly often, so it was perfect, and I couldn't resist. I'm still trying to figure out blue eyeshadow on blue eyes. Glad Tesla is feeling better.

Definitely carve a pumpkin! It is not difficult, and it is fun! Because it’s still quite warm in Texas, it might not last too many weeks for you, but they are still really fun!!
