LET'S TALK CRITERION - I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE/THE SEVENTH VICTIM IN 4K

Oh happy day. Others can see one of my 13 all time favorite films, I Walked With a Zombie. Especially look for the two scenes with Sir Lancelot, a famous calypso singer, who wrote his signature song, Shame and Scandal (It as many alternative titles) for this film. Notice how Tourneur frames him against an extremely evocative sky in his second appearance. A truly chilling sequence! And that last sequence on the beach is one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever seen in a film. The shot from above the zombie's head with the waves lapping up in the beach. OMG that is Tourneur ar his best! IMO the film is a stne cold masterpiece. BTW you can hear Sir Lancelot's song on a 78 rpm on KZbin.

I just picked up the Lawton Collection today. I already have the films on a Val Lewton DVD box set but it really deserved an upgrade. I’m looking forward to getting DEMON POND. I’m glad to have come across your channel.
