Melissa, sadly there are just people out there who are not happy unless they are trying to shame or put others down. I had a horrible bully on my channel for a long time that not only made fun of me for how I spoke but that I had the nerve to buy vendor wax as a scentsy consultant. She was relentless. It is no one’s business what we spend our hard earned money on. I joined Scentsy for the discount as well. I have never pushed Scentsy on people. If people love home fragrance in my circle, they will buy. If not, that is fine too. Not everyone is a fragrance fanatic ( LOL) I have told my Scentsy downline that I am a laid back consultant, i don’t tell people to make sales. Most of us joined because we love the products. Some people out there in KZbin land are just miserable people. But we have to remind ourselves there is more good people in the world than bad…. I am just so sorry that people think its ok to be unkind behind their keyboard. They are bullies. Sending hugs. ❤

You are Brave!! Right, I agree definitely 100 percent! If you can’t say something nice, dont say it!! I struggle with that! I was picked on as a kid, and that has always stayed with me. I knew early that noone deserves that ! I had to teach myself that I didn’t deserve it! I think because I experienced a lot of the bullying and it absolutely crushed me as a kid. I’m only 11 minutes into your video but I want to say I am with you. I joined Scentsy to get a discount and some free stuff. When I found vendor wax by watching KZbin videos - wow mind blown. Someone who says you should only talk about Scentsy is ridiculous. If it hadn’t been for the wax community on KZbin I wouldn’t have known there was such a thing. When I sold Scentsy, I also still bought Vendor wax - I stopped selling Scentsy and also stopped buying it for now as like Melissa I have over 600 bars and they keep churning them out so quickly and to me they all started smelling very samey so I stopped buying them to give me chance to use up what I have. Plus I wanted keep supporting small businesses such as vendors who need my money more than Scentsy does.

You are so right on so many levels. You should never had been made to feel like you owed anyone an explanation on how you spend your money. These A**hats that think it’s okay to humiliate someone by being so rude is beyond reprehensible. I joined Scentsy for the same reason as you. I was my only customer other than my mom and she passed from cancer the end of 2022. I got into vendor wax in 2023 and there’s no looking back. Scentsy’s bars got lighter and lighter where I couldn’t smell them when I warmed them. I will continue to but their warmers because they are the best and beautiful. I think you started YT for the right reasons. Sharing your hobby or what you love and are enjoying is why a lot of people watch videos. Do you have dental insurance? You could get implants this year and wait until next year to get crowns. You have to wait 3-6 months for the bone to grow around the implant anyways. Then you have to go in and molds taken and wait for them to make the crowns. You could ask the dentist if he/she has a payment plan.

Sadly my insurance caps at $1000 per year. They only cover half. It will be a long period but I have to wait until my 401k loan is paid off to get another one. The bad dentist ruined the ones I had with botched root canals that became infected and couldn’t be repaired and because I tried to get better holistically the injury lawyer told me I couldn’t fight it. My new dentist felt terrible. I was just happy I didn’t go septic and could get well. Things happen for a reason. ❤️ God will help me find a solution. 😉

We have the same Scentsy story, very small circle to sell to and I won't bug people to buy. I live in Canada and we have limited vendor wax and I want to support local. Scentsy has made their millions, I do love Scentsy but it's my money and I don't need to buy just Scentsy. Vendor wax they think outside the box when producing scents and I enjoy that. Don't listen to the haters and she can't spell anyways lol.

You do you girl! Everyone has a personal preference on their wax and if you want to do both then you do both. I personally only do scentsy and that’s not because I don’t like vendor wax I had the chance to experience it from friend mail and I did love it. However I am in Canada and it costs about 160.00 for shipping and duty fees to get my packages so I have personally decided not to use vendor wax and only scentsy because scentsy I can pay a flat rate of 14.00 of shipping and no additional fees. I also decide not to watch vendor videos because it makes me want the wax and I really can’t be spending that kind of money on shipping and duty fees.

I feel too young even though my mom was 21 when she got dentures. 😔 I just need these to work a few more years and I will have the funds to invest. The sad part is my insurance maxes yearly at 1000 and it’s like 1000/tooth so looking at 2 a year? God must have another solution. 🙏🏻

I am a non-pushing consultant either. Your reason for joining is mine too You do you and the haters gonna hate regardless, so just be you. All my warmers are Scentsy too. There are PLENTY of Scentsy vids showing ALL things offered. Don't let a few naysayers get you down. I certainly don't buy everything either. I've tried a few vendors, and plan to try a few more, but Scentsy is still my #1. Let them unsubscribe if they don't like what you're doing. I have a VIP group, and no one buys warmer of the month, even when offered at a discount, so I also gave up on that.

Sounds like you have a wonderful stash!!! I would love to see a video of your stash and how you organize all your wax. I don't blame you for slowing down on buying. I've got almost 300 bars, and I really need to stop. I don't want my wax getting too old as well I've seen other people complain on different videos as well. Asking them why they don't do big hauls anymore 🤦‍♀️, maybe because people are not made of money. People seem to forget that scentsy is not cheap.

@@kathylafayette3765 I’ve been struggling with Scentsy for a while. I stopped being a consultant last year as I just couldn’t keep up and always felt the pressure to buy every new wax coming out. However, IMO they all started to smell very similar to others - in a few of my videos I would be like “this reminds me of such and such” so I decided to stop buying Scentsy for a while, work through my huge Scentsy wax stash (equivalent to nearly 600 bars!!) and also support some small businesses/independent vendors. I’m very happy with my choice. I went through some big health concerns/issues earlier in the year, and Melissa was an absolute star in listening to me and offering support… and because of her I’m going to be starting my videos again soon (once my recent wax hauls get shipped).

Unfortunately having any type of public social media platform for people to comment, gives those few toxic people the ability to comment rudely and to potentially bully. Hopefully, you have more positive commments than negative and you simply block and delete those that are negative or bullying and keep moving forward, with your head held high. It shouldn't cause you to have to explain yourself in a 1.5hr video, because that means that bully won making you feel this way. You're a strong and beautiful woman. Melissa, I am so sorry that you feel like you had to make this video. I’ve told you this and thought this numerous times - we are so alike! I joined Scentsy literally one day after you, and I joined for the same reasons. I’ve never one time pushed anyone to join my team or have a party for me. It sells itself. I will never be a pushy consultant either. I also buy vendor wax now, but I still absolutely love my warmers, wax, etc. from Scentsy too. Please ignore comments like these, and I wouldn’t blame you if you deleted them. First off, if she has a problem with you buying vendor wax or other products, she doesn’t have to watch your videos. Secondly, if she wants to make comments like that, she could at least learn how to spell. She made herself look dumb. You don’t have to explain anything! Scentsy can get dog eat dog and you just have to stand your ground and run it your way! The people there can take it a bit too seriously at times. I’m not exactly sure why that is. In my opinion, there’s room for everything! Fragrance and wax is a hobby! Enjoy it! I just needed people to understand I was struggling to keep up but love me anyways. I love the company. I only opt into the SOTM or SWOTM if I can sell the warmer and 6 bars to my local customers ( I keep a bar for myself and the pods) if I can’t then I just wait until I have a local bulk order or party link to close out to get the bar, stickers, and flyers. Even if it is the end of the month before I get it 1:04:29

You’re lucky you can sell them. I finally got to a point where I only get them if I love them. But I’m glad I’m not alone in not being able to get them all because it’s just not practical for where I’m at with things. Even at $25 people wouldn’t buy them. Crazy to me.
