It's just several of the same gem type, they seem to simply scale up in size in that case. They only look unusual when it's a fusion of different gems.

I don't like holly, and I really love the amethysts, but if i were in holly's situation i would get out my whip and aim for the gem on the face or the chest, with the intention of damaging/cracking it and destabilizing the fusion. Even if they had destroyed/shattered me afterwards, blue diamond would destroy them all if she found out about it on the next visit.

All told, stirring to anger the *quite literal* Small Army of Amethysts does no good. For once in perhaps their entire time spent maintaining The Human Zoo, the Amethysts now realize how much power they hold over Holly. For as somewhat crass and not unlike unruly high school boys most of the Amethysts are, they *REALLY* hold all the cards against Holly after several of them witnessed how quickly The Crystal Gems took her down. Holly would get tied, gagged or even poofed before she makes it to the floor. Provided they don't squeeze her to the point of poofing before she even half draws her Shock Whip. And if they actually *DID* shatter Holly, Blue could not in good conscience shatter all the Amethysts in their betrayal. Preserving what remains of Pink is too valuable to ever toss out in a state of foolish pique. Who would they scramble to replace those who've done the job for so long and know human anatomy so well? Not counting that, if these Amethysts are genuinely starting to fuse together on this kind of scale, consider how much trouble Blue will have actually taking them out by a straight fight other than just Emotionally shutting them all down like at Garnet's Wedding. Not also counting if she brought any capable Gem aids that could fight back or Destabilizer weapons.

How would Blue find out? The Amethysts could dispose of Holly (Shattered or bubbled) and make up any story they wanted. And a whip isn't going to hurt their gems, Holly's weapon is one designed to hurt and intimidate, not one designed to shatter.

@@timemonkey Holly is the manager of the zoo, if blue diamond calls she would answer without hesitation. Even if the amthysts invent a story, they would have to call homeworld or blue diamond directly so that the next time blue diamond does not ask what happened to Holly and why no report was made. And then there is a 99.999999% chance that blue diamond would arrive with a new Holly, if she didn't even take over the management herself. And it doesn't matter how strong Holly's whip is, what matters here is that the amthysts stay under control.
