I like Wonderboy a lot but I don’t mind him losing this one - Shavkat seems like the obvious next champion in waiting, and I’m excited to see his reign begin soon. Should be a fun one - in stark contrast to Leon and Usman before him (or contenders like Colby), Shavkat not only wins but finishes every time.
@Brantendo64 Жыл бұрын
I actually have a feeling Wonderboy will make it more interesting that people think, if not outright win. Shavkat’s grappling gives him an advantage, but I think Wonderboy hurts him on the feet. Shavkat gets hit a lot against boxers… Wonderboy can hit you from anywhere, and his kicks do nasty damage.

I don't care how many title shots Gane has had. He's the best opponent for Aspinal outside of Jones. Colby has taken years out inbetween fights and ducked numerous top contenders yet he's getting fast tracked to another title shot. Where's that same energy? Aspinal vs Gane is a good fight. Man this is honestly such an interesting fight, I think on the ground colby has it, on the feet obviously Leon, but I think this fight is really gonna come down to to the clinch. Cuz I do see Leon possibly being able to get up but he’s gonna be in the clinch, so if can frame off off Colby and break that clinch he’ll be good, but if Colby can keep him there that’s really all he has to do to grind oht a decision, shoot ip against the fence, if Leon gets up shoot again and keep him against the fence. That’s Colby’s route to victory, Leon should try his best to not back up to the black line, but he literally does it in every single fight so it’s gonna be hard for him to break that tendency, so I guess another reason why Colby should probably be favored, just looking at their tendencies, Leon’s good in the clinic but he backs himself up then that’s just gonna favor Colby, he has to press Colby so he can see the shots coming; and not allow Colby to have his back to the fence, this is honestly gonna be the battle

Not sure if he'll get the chance to land them honestly. Maybe if Colby starts slow he could get some off as well as some precise body kicks but you can be sure Colby will try to be relentless with his pressure. Leon has to find his openings to snipe Colby as he's pressuring and get those knees and elbows working in the clinch to rack up damage because its inevitable they'll end up clinching with each other.

Hey man love the content. 1) With Alex vs Izzy 3 (5) looking more and more possible what do you think changes at LHW? Will Alex's size be the deciding factor or was Izzy just so overworked and trained going into his last few fights? Personally i got Alex i think he's just too big. I dont know how he ever made 185lbs. 2) With Ian Gary now pulling out of his fight vs Luque what does his next fight look like? Crazy to see the drop from fan favorite this guy had.

Izzy's is more technical and Alex is tougher and has way more power. Izzy can win by decision and KO at 185lbs and I'd say the favorite over Alex. At 205lbs without that massive weight cut I don't think Izzy has the power to stop him and Alex is the favorite there.

Izzy is the better fighter but had a much harder time beating him at 205lbs that's a weird thing to even debate. As a Dagestani fanboy 😂 I love both Islam and Khabib, but I think we are being unfair to Khabibs legacy people seem to forget what he did. Islam Makhachev proved to be an elite beast but he is never gonna be as good as Khabib I dont think anyone will, Islam might get a better resume but his wins from the start were never as dominant as Khabibs. Khabib never got Knocked down let alone KOd never got a bruise on his face and he beat more elite strikers than Islam. Even in Khabibs worst performance against Tibau Khabib looked like a relentless tank chasing down a way bigger tank on stereoids constantly pressing Tibau to the cage and still never getting hurt or bruised. Whilst in Islams worst he got taken down and mounted several times and he just covered up for GNP and it wasnt always against good grapplers. When Khabib got taken down by Trujilo he immediately got to working on a armbar and got it and than when Trujilo tried to escape Khabib transitioned to triangle choke and Trujilo got saved by the bell. We never had the image of Khabib bruised cut up after a fight yet we seen a bad one from Islam after first Volk fight.

@@AtPEACE77 You make a good point there, he is. I'm guessing(idk for sure obviously) he's still in the process of letting it go. I heard him say he speaks with a sports psych also. My assumption is that he trained with David to see if he still had it in himself physically/mentally to still compete with the younger lions. Maybe he forgot to fully come to terms with self you have to face ALL of the darkness, esp the ones that are tied to self accountability. Idk, I wish Tony well

@@IronReef77he keeps changing things in his camp thinking that there is some hidden reason he has been losing. Reality is he’s been very hittable and has gotten older. Both of which have caught up. He needs to retire to salvage whatever he can of his brain

I can’t help but correlate Tony going with goggins is like Diego Sanchez going with the life coach he went with. Goggins def not as crazy as what’s his name, but same concept. A fighter with possible serious cte, looking to someone like a life coach or motivational speaker

@@adriantheambulance591 There's not much depth to a fighter pulling out of a fight though? The quick video sufficed.

Usman also exposed the fact that Leon stands up but exposes his back while doing so but no ju-jitsu usman didn’t capitalise, Colby on the other hand likes to transition into that khabib ish style half back take with one hook in and uses neck cranks to wear down the opponent. prime exmaple is the Robbie lawler fight. Leon also allows himself to be pressured back

I think there was some salt in usmans analysis toward edwards. I don't think it's a reliable prediction. Didn't really sound like he wanted to give leon props for anything. I think we're gonna see the best Leon we've ever seen on Saturday and people are gonna be shocked
@SunTzuMedia Жыл бұрын
Leon started getting out pressured and overwhelmed by Diaz. Colby works Leon over by the 3rd round then smashes him. Colby TKO in the 3rd.
