Thanks for another terrific interview Mira. I'm loving this series and keeping my fingers crossed you manage to get hold of the other Heresy authors for future installments. It's instructive and heartening to hear Graham never recieved any complaints about Mechanicum due to it having a lot of female characters. I'd have been amazed if he had. It's a very popular entry in the Heresy series and generally well-thought of by fans. It's nice to be reminded that people who enjoy W40k are a lot more accepting and rational than some of the foaming at the mouth of recent weeks has made it seem at times.

Mira, I’ll comment on every one of these videos you do, and I’ll probably say the same basic thing: These are so great! It’s fairly uncommon to be able to get a retrospective look behind the curtain with any author, and the fact that you have access so a big chunk of the Black Library team is just an absolute gem of a treat. If you're going to do A Thousand Sons chat, seriously consider reading A Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns first and doing a 3 way chat with Dan and Graham. Both those books are great to read on their own, but playing g them off against each other really boosts both.

It's interesting that Graham says that Kelbor Hal and his group were genuine in their ideas about doing good for Mars. Especially Kelbor Hal stroke me as a guy that used the rhetoric of a Free Mars to amass more power for himself and being jealous of how the Emperor secured the faith of many of his compatriots and sidelined him.

That one was my least favourite book by a long shot for sure. It had such a bizzare ending that was at the same time pretty epic and incredibly unsatisfying and lame. Not to mention the continuity errors and "main character" power scaling...

@@MrZauberelefant TOD and Battle for the Abyss were a struggle for me, but honestly they were the only ones I had a real issue with from the 31 books I've gone through by now. I understand that people don't like the Dark Angels books too much because it feels completely detached from HH. For me it was a nice change of pace and a bit of variety. Although the way Nemiel's character arc felt like a failed attempt at emulating George R. R. Martin and attract the new GoT show fans that was pretty hot at the time.
