Former Citadel sculptor Adam Clarke Joins me in conversation to talk about the Citadel sculptor training programme, what it was like working in the studio, the process of working with green stuff, and his career making freelance miniatures for Privateer Press, before founding his own company Black Scorpion Miniatures.
Adam Clarke has worked on some of the greatest miniatures games in history having produced many models for Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40,000, Necromunda, War Machine, and more. As an expert sculptor he shares reflections and recollections from a life making miniature magic.

Another great interview. Each one reveals a little more behind the scenes of GW.

I have a few Black Scorpion models, they are all great sculpts! Mind you they have more realistic proportions than GW models typically have, which does result in some tiny details I find hard to paint... It's good to hear the story behind Black Scorption and the man behind it, thanks for the interview!

Been a fan of Black Scorpion for almost as long as it's been going. Fantasy Pirates, Cowboys, weird one offs, picked up several many over the years. Brenimor is on my list for desirable next stuff.

Love me some Black Scorpion. Back in the early days the wire skeleton inside the resin casts really stood out. Definitely helped support sword arms and the like.

I've never heard of this guy's miniatures but they are exactly my tastes. The perfect early 2000s heroic scale aesthetic.
