Great video. On Freeing switching to 1/6s: I've been actually very happy about this. I never collected 1/4s due to the space commitment while at the same time been tempted to buy a Freeing bunny figure. It is actually one my to buy list as a collector to eventually own one Freeing bunny. This news made me decided to wait until they release a 1/6 of a character I like.

Oh, I HIGHLY recommend watching Frieren! I am absolutely in LOVE with Frieren: Beyond Journey's End!!! It is one of the best anime that I've ever seen, and it is officially my second favorite anime ever!! Frieren is a gorgeous, emotional, and very beautiful anime! This is a series that I believe everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime. I want that Frieren figure so bad!!!🥰

On one hand, 1/6 scales are a nice addition as a money/space saving option. But then I remember that BiCutes are also basically 1/6 and way cheaper and I'm like... hmm. Because my BiCutes have been really nice quality, especially for prize figures. idk i guess it really depends on what freeing decides to make in 1/6. I'd be more interested in OCs than characters from popular franchises tbh.

aaaa I love the apothecary diaries!! I actually started watching it because I saw the first nendoroid announced and I thought the design was so cute I needed to know where it was from. then I got obsessed, watched the whole show as it was coming out, and now have the maomao pop up parade sitting on my shelf :) I actually don't love the nendoroids of maomao and jinshi, although maybe I'll get the garden party one depending on the face plates. I also don't particularly like the garden party scale but I do have the goodsmile scale of maomao on a bench preordered because it's gorgeous. also I NEED a jinshi scale maybe based off his pose sitting on the window from the second ending?

I agree with your thoughts on the 1/6 bunnies. 1/6 is actually my favorite scale, I don't usually go for 1/4 due to lack of space. Buuut I think the big appeal to FREEing bunnies IS the fact that they're 1/4. I'll be curious to see if the quality is any better for the 1/6 ones... Also I'm just kinda sad about that Hoshizaki Riyu bunny in particular, because I thought she would look cute with the Chris and Kozuki Erina bunnies. Still love her design, but unsure if I will get her now.

4:38 she's from the MV for a viral song by Honeyworks called "I'm Sorry for Being Cute" (something like that anyway). Ironically loosely linked to Miku/the Vocaloid scene because Honeyworks started as a Vocaloid producer. (If you know the rin/len song Suki Kirai, they made that)

I'm actually kinda glad about the 1/6 switch up, there are a lot of Azur Lane and Nikke characters who are only coming in 1/4 scale which is such a huge commitment money wise and shelf space wise. It's nice to have a more affordable option for characters that don't have too many merch options

11:59 he's koito and and his friend tsukishima are grom golden kamuy~ one of the best anime ever tbh i'd recommend a watch or read, the manga is better and more funny. but if you can imagine a historical fiction that has both, mystery, action, cooking, and educational while also being downright hysterically funny, that's golden kamuy. i don't even think it starts slow but give an honest like 4-5 episodes or 1-3 volumes of manga.

Highly recommend Frieren. Basically the only figures I'm interested in at the moment are the Frieren and Fern ones.

Apothecary Diaries is a certified banger! I watched when it first came out and was tempted by the Nendos, then I rewatched again with my partner recently and ended up getting the MaoMao nendoroid second-hand XD I have the GSC MaoMao on Pre-order (because what an amazing price!!!) but the WW one disappointed me so much with the ugly seams they ADDED right in the middle of her sleeves :( my wallet is thankful for that. Also 1/4s are very overwhelming for me personally, they're obviously classic and sought-after for very good reasons but at least having the option of 1/6s from Freeing are much more appealing and manageable to me, especially if it's OCs. I do not think a full 180 switch to 1/6s is the way to go though.

18:40 they would’ve made more money if they’d focus on male bunnies for real, and not in 1/8 scale. They don’t even need to make them overly sexualized like the female ones because the fans are *desperate* And I think the 1/6 scales are for people who want to buy Freeing bunnies but don’t wanna give as much money and space for them (maybe also to answer Furyu’s Bicute line, but that’s a stretch)

I like Black Rock Shooter and pretty happy they still releasing new scales, the old ones they go for a lot right now specifically the animation ver... I actually have ALL the figma ones both animation and OVA plus the Psp exclusives too. BRS may have a following in Japan? IDK or maybe because of HUKE Illustrations he does Steins Gate too.

I haven't read the Oshi no Ko manga, just watched the anime. I'm sure it was insanely popular because the prologue was AMAZING!! I loved it so much. But once the anime officially started and the story got going I really didn't enjoy it? and I'm sure people who know, know. People probably stopped talking about it because of that. It just had an amazing start and then quickly destroyed itself.

I saw binding is doing 1/6 scales too and I'm excited for that! I love a lot of their figures but I don't want a lot of 1/4 scales since I just don't have space for that. For freeing, it's neat and may consider picking some up, but really only OCs

3:20 Imo they struggle every time to get his face right, kinda a Makima situation 6:05 I actually really love 2B's Pop Up Parade Pose more than the scale ones 7:53 Apothecary Diaries became Anime of the year to me, it's so good & honestly I'm addicted to it, I want most of the figure announced until now except Maomao's PUP & the prize one by Sega I think it is 13:42 I love them too, I'm really hoping they will make Ciel because the other male characters they did look so good & I'm hoping for a Mitsuri & Maomao, maybe even Jinshi too, I'd also take TGCF or MDZS too so all in all I want more Harmonia Humming Dolls in general :D 15:00 same

I agree that FREEing and BINDing moving to 1/6 scale is a mistake. I know they’re cheaper, but I only buy their figures for the big size. Hopefully they don’t do well so they won’t be sticking with it for long. I want them to move to lowering the price on their 1/4s instead, but I know that isn’t happening :(

I'm almost certainly gonna get that dolled up MaoMao. I also want one of her in her normal form, but unfortunately both of the ones announced/released thus far are a bit low quality. I will get one if I have to but.... I will be getting that Rapi I thought FREEing was just doing 1/6 in addition to 1/4, and it never hurts to have options. If some character are only in 1/6, that would be a bit problematic.

I think if freeing had more interesting/detailed designs, 1/6 would be great. Especially for some, when freeing puts the character in a regular bunny suit (without anything that feels unique to the character), the 1/4 size offsets that simplicity. I also think then announcing 1/6 taiga might not have been the best first example since they have 4 taigas already (two fishnets, two bare leg), with the added bonus of announcing the tiger version late enough that some people already ordered the bunny version

I know that u like the harmonia humming dolls, I think you would really like pullips or Blythe dolls if ur into that big head type doll that dress in j fashion or cute characters. Some can be pretty expensive but they’re super cute ^\\3\\^

Miku Hinasaki is getting a Figma?! I’d heard she was getting a Nendo, but I vastly prefer scales and pop-ups, and I’ve been dreaming of Fatal Frame figures for years! I’d prefer the antagonist ghosts get figures, especially my favorite, Reika Kuze, or a 3D rendition of that CG illustration of Mio and Mayu sitting back to back, but Miku is as close to a series main character as we get, so I’m happy about this.

What is the quality of Freeing in 1/6? I only have 1 Freeing bunny and the quality isn’t amazing, like an Alter 1/7 or 1/8 looks to have more detail. So I can’t imagine their 1/6 being that great.

2:49 (spoiler warning for the manga!!) pretty sure it’s still popular in Japan, I haven’t seen a lot about it in the US after they started having some weird incest-y type stuff between ruby & aqua in the manga 😅… a lot of people including me dropped it after that. still pretty popular tho!

There’s so many Miku figures, she’s horrendously over produced, she gets multiple figure announcements every week, and we can’t get a single figure of characters in other series. I’ve no idea why people want so many of figures of her, I have 5 Albedo figures and I definitely have too many, but people have far more figures of Miku.
