I gotta be honest, Oh-MEE-Ga is really starting to grow on me. I realized it whilst watching the Indy scene in the beginning, because my first thought was, "WTF, why would you ever put a child in this position??" but my second thought was that I didn't care because she was pretty cool in it.

This is not the first time she's killed someone with her bow. The first episode of season 2 shows the Batch firing stunners at regs, but she was shooting them the same she's shot everything.

I thought that it was a little too good to be true at times, but to be fair, it is really hard to outdo an episode like The Outpost. I was kind of expecting a little more action, but I’m ok with how this one went. Not every episode can be action, I suppose, and I appreciate the juxtaposition of crosshair’s at times blind loyalty to an evil organization that wants him gotten rid of or at the very least doesn’t care with the Batch’s loyalty to one another. I also appreciate the amount of character development in each episode. There was one line tech said that was a little too scripted or poorly delivered that I noticed. I hope we see Rex and Echo again this season, two of my favorite clones of all time. It’s funny that Rex runs around with no helmet, though fair since he left it at the Venator and there’s no way for him to procure a new one. Anyways, stream-of-consciousness there. Bye now. Great video as usual. Can’t wait to see how the series ends.

For the Bad Batch (the actual squad, that is) Omega killing someone isn’t treated as a big deal because for them it isn’t. They were trained their entire lives to fight and kill, and that’s basically all they’ve known their entire existence. While Omega is probably somewhere around 12 or 13, in terms of years Alice they can’t be much older than her thanks to their advanced aging. In fact, they’re probably about the same age. Granted, they are full grown adults and Omega isn’t, and they acknowledge this difference in the show. Hunter’s aware that this isn’t the kind of life she should have, and the fact that that Omega could live a normal life on Pabu is what convinced him to accept the offer of settling down

I believe one of them actually points out how Omega is technically older than them when they enter the secret lab on Kamino in the Season 1 finale.

I think this episode itself was not the problem, but instead it was that we had too much of this in the season. The first half of the season, except the one Cody episode, was all very childish and slow. Having the slow "fun" episodes in between big important ones feels much better and how the whole season should have looked imo. Unfortunately they decided to just dump most of them back to back at the beginning.

This series has been absolutely flawless when it comes to the quality of animation and music. So many people commenting on "yet another filler episode" but overlook everything else. I picked up on your comments about "the showing finding its footing/place" which is just like the bad batch trying to find their way in the galaxy... Don't think you think the show has been made with that in mind. If you think the show is unsure what it wants to be is JUST like the bad batch being unsure what they want to be in the universe.

I don't want to call Wrecker Grog. Grog is a perfect example on how a strong dumb guy can be interesting, not only in season 2 but also in season 1. While Wrecker is just a trope not a character.

Another character taught him about love (platonic) "If you gonna grapple me should you not try to hold me down?" "No, this is a hug" "Oh... I like it" Thanks to the other PC he became such an innocent murder machine.

The theme seems to be that Hunter can not take a day off in looking after Omega. Even when no one is actively putting her in danger, she seems to seek out situations where one mistake is enough to end it all.

7:22 for me, I think the continual failure and drudgery of the main Bad Batch characters story is to show how far out of their element the crew is working for Cid. I believe that they won’t settle on Pabu, but will make it their secret home base, much like Phee does.

I'm so happy I listened to y'all and watched Vox Machina. I was hooked minutes into the first episode, and I ended up watching a season a day last weekend. I want to rewatch it, but it's so soon.

Oh and Bad Batch has gotten better, but it really seems that the writers have yet to figure out how this show will end or where it's going to go by the ultimate end. I hope they wrap it up in canon, before Disney panics and cancels it early.

Will there be a 3rd season for Bad Batch? Has it been confirmed? There seems to be so much still unresolved. Don't think any comparison can be made to Andor. That is unapologetically an adult series whereas Bad Batch fluctuates between an adult series and a children's show.

I predict the season will end with a dark, massive confrontation and will likely end in a cliffhanger. I hope the cliffhanger isn't the case, but I could see it happening.

I feel like a lot of the episodes have to potential to be much better. Just for fun I decided to try and tweak most of the episode and maybe the release order. ep 1: I'm not changing much to these other than combining the first 2 into one longer episode and keeping tech's femur broken ep 2: not changing the crosshair one ep 3: instead of tech being in the spotlight, it's wrecker. The reason why wrecker will get most of the screen time here is because tech's femur is still broken. Show that he's not just a dumb brute, maybe have him be the one who chooses to take the left tunnel. Obviously I'm oversimplifying things, I'm just trying to throw an idea out there ep 4: now instead of this being a treasure hunt, this will actually be an episode about hunter and echo's mission, and will be the gungi episode. So it starts off with echo and hunter meeting those crime bosses, except they actually complete the deal. Just when they are boarding their ship they will hear gungi's roar. Hunter and Echo try to investigate without being seen, and see Gungi throwing around those droids with the force. Hunter hears more droids coming, so he tries to get Echo to leave, but Echo wants to rescue him. They have a brief argument, before Echo convinces him to stay by reminding him about the jedi on Kaller. Both of them then interevene, catching the droids off guard. During the fight, gungi gets ahold of his lightsaber, cuts himself free and runs. More droids show up, so gungi is forced to leave on the marauder. Once Echo and hunter leave, Gungi is still hostile towards echo, because he recognizes him as a clone, but he senses hunter is different. This creates a situation in which Echo wants to help Gungi, but is unable due to him being hostile, and Hunter, who just wants to get rid of him as soon as possible (not in a dark way), but is the only one who Gungi trusts. Hunter finally agrees to bring Gungi back to Kashyyyk, even though it's occupied by the empire. Eventually the rest of the episode plays out the same way, just without the rest of the crew. ep 5: This episode opens the same way, with Wrecker and Omega finding some sort of weird compass, when they arrive at the cantina, we're shown Phee trying to talk to Tech, but him beeing completely oblivious. This plays out normally until the crew arrives at the planet (I can't remember the name). Tech is forced to stay behind at the ship due to his femur. Phee volunteers to stay back with Tech, but the rest don't trust her, so Echo chooses to stay back. While the others are doing the normal mission, Echo tells Tech how frustrated he is with the random missions, and Tech agrees. The only other change I would make is have Hunter lead the mission and Phee mess up a few times. ep 6+7: same as 7 and 8, just earlier. 8. Originally episode 9, nothing much changed except toning down Omega's whining ep 9: This is where the original episode 10 is Since the crew is stranded, they seriously start to consider cutting ties with Cid, to Omega's surprise. They have a brief argument, with Omega insisting that Cid will eventually come to find them, but the rest of them being skeptical. The rest of the episode plays out normally until they find the ship. Instead of the whole mining operation, it's just a band of pirates. Omega tries to convince the crew to negotiate, with Hunter putting his foot down and saying no. I like the whole top earner idea, so it's the same but with pirates, and lowest earner gets no food and is imprisoned for a few days. Omega witnesses the lowest earner receive his punishment, and realizes that some people are just evil. They take their ship back and escape. ep 10. This is just the metamorphasis ep 11: This is the pabu episode. I think pabu would be better before the outpost because the tone switch from crosshair to pabu was too jarring. I won't change much, other than have a lot of people actually die because of the sea surge, because I felt the episode had no stakes. This also gives an opportunity in the future for the crew to rescue a few clone refugees and have them live here. And also have the crew stay for a few weeks before the surge actually happens, so it doesn't feel like the surge happened just as they arrived ep 12. nothing changed about crosshair ep 13. since I combined episodes 1 and 2, there has to be another episode added for the full 16 episodes, so this is just gonna be a rex and echo episode. I really don't know what the story of this episode would be. Maybe it could be just them rescueing clones or maybe even Cody. hopefully none of the edits I made changed too much of the overall story.

Grog gets a lot of development because it is based on actual DnD game, and Matt Mercer is a brilliant DM, every core player (and many repeat guests) character gets a lot of character development. If it was just "a DnD show" without any basis (like Honor Amongst Thieves), I feel like Grog would be (mis)handled like Wrecker

I thought it was a good episode. I'm fine with some "filler" if it has good character development. The only problem is we have to wait another week for the really good stuff. I feel like I didn't have this problem with "The Clone Wars" because when I watched that everything was released and I could simply binge to the next episode.

They usually try to stun clones, everyone else they kill. Too bad they didn't go back Cid and got rid of a loose end.

They only set their blasters to stun when they were fighting clones, after they had learned about the inhibitor chips and saw the effects first-hand. It makes sense that they wouldn't want to kill their brothers for something they can't control, whereas the pirates were trying to kill them of their own free will and paid the price.
