Also if you think about it they said cal Kestis and the bad batch would be in season 3. Yet that never happened at all no where close. Literally look up the leaked trailer. It literally shows so much empire stuff a whole ass walker too

Hey Thor, will you please make a video describing the Legends and canonical portrayals of Mandalorians, cover some key differences, and explain which version you personally prefer? I would *love* to watch that and think it'd contain so much lore people would enjoy, that it could comprise its own video, perhaps long enough for the main channel. As always, *thanks for your work!* I remember being fascinated and intrigued while listening to Canderous Ordo tell his war stories and describe Mandalorian culture in _KotOR 1,_ thinking it'd be awesome to watch Mandalorians on Basilisks swoop down and scream through the clouds upon some doomed city. The canonical stuff in the animated shows and _The Mandalorian_ has been pretty cool, too, though.

However this is Gilroy, a critically acclaimed filmmaker and screenwriter and creator of some of the best live action Star Wars ever made. If he retcons something from a novel that barely anyone has even read, then it’s probably for the better.

Hey Thor, I know you've talked a lot about "Grey Jedi" a lot (and I agree with your take on them), but I wonder if one reason their so popular is because of Legends. Even though I've enjoyed Legends so far, my biggest complaint with it is that (depending on the writer) it presents Grey Jedi as being the right way to use the Force. Even if in the story itself it doesn't make sense. Like how in the Bane Trilogy the Healer's daughter becomes a Grey Jedi, even though she just had an arc learning the Dark side is bad and the books never presents the dark side as anything but bad. Anyway, what are your thoughts?
@michaelverdon725222 сағат бұрын
I know you will disagree with me on this but this is just and only how I feel is that the grey Jedi are with no doubt the way it should all be because Jedi they are too good but Sith are too bad and Star Wars should be where the Jedi and Sith are more human like instead of being at the extreme ends of good and bad
@jmsrex_173831 минут бұрын
You're of course free to feel however you want about it (and I hope my reply doesn't come off as confrontational that isn't my intent) but I'm confused by what you mean when you say the Jedi are "too good". How can something be too good, or rather how can something that is too good be a bad thing? If for instance, we were all more kind, forgiving, and charitable with one another I don't see how that could be a bad thing. And to go along with that, in Star Wars (and the real world) what good comes from something that is bad or is of the dark side? If something is bad for you and others what good can come from it? If there is a force of nature like the dark side that is only there to cause pain and misery for everyone, what good could you get from it, for yourself or others? So with all that in mind, in Star Wars (and the real world) why would someone try to find the balance between the light and dark? The light does nothing but bring good and the dark brings nothing but bad.
@michaelverdon72528 минут бұрын
@@jmsrex_1738 I understand what you mean but I was only saying more about humans in real life where they are naturally made with good and bad in them but to ignore one side exists or that one side is more powerful than the other imo is imbalance despite what the case is in Star Wars and all I was saying was that I wish that the Jedi and Sith can be more human like instead of at the extreme ends of good and bad because it’s too extreme I mean I might see it differently than you but my definition of too good is when people try to act perfect when they really aren’t and they try to pretend it’s true but really isn’t

Her acting was almost entirely inconsequential, it was poor writing that made the show subpar. That said, it wasn’t even close to an award winning performance regardless of the poor quality of the writing. The bad batch was inoffensive and sometimes odd in its plot choices, but I suppose I'm glad it got some recognition. I think the Rotta stuff is a psyop -- I doubt even this regime of creatives would be that foolish. Whether the story will be actually good and free of studio interference is doubtful, though, so I'm just hoping the action is good if nothing else.

@6.H.0.5.7Күн бұрын
Just curious if you find the following popular criticism of _Ahsoka_ to not be specific enough: 1. portrayals of Ahsoka and Sabine seemed wooden and unreasonably awkward, especially in early episodes 2. underwhelming portrayal of mastermind Thrawn, who seemed more about running out the clock and basically just saying at the end, "It was my plan all along" 3. Sabine's recovery from lightsaber stab, though explainable, was an unwelcome contribution to lightsabers seeming less deadly 4. perplexing writing had Sabine not explain key details to Ezra upon reunion, which itself seemed emotionally underwhelming
@saberiandream316Күн бұрын
I also dislike what they did with the Nightsisters. It's further butchering the lore that started out in the original EU, and from somebody who claims to be its greatest fan. This is why I don't buy Filoni's bullshit.

@@6.H.0.5.7 1. While I agree that Rosario Dawson was a bit stoic and reserved I think that was the point given that she’s been through a lot in Clone Wars & Rebels and is basically a wondering Ronin though I can understand how some might feel that way. But overall I think Dawson and Natasha Lui Bordizzo played Ahsoka and Sabine very well and felt like extensions of their animated counterparts. The only weird part was that they didn’t have a meaningful master & apprentice dynamic. The show mearly told us they did and shouted from the rooftops for us to roll with it. 2. I don’t what to say, I just don’t see it and you’re essentially parroting Thor’s “He basically ran the clock out and bearly escaped” criticism with no new spin on it. My main concern with Thrawn is how is one beat up star destroyer, a bunch of undead stormtroopers and some mysterious Nightsister cargo going to pose that much of a threat to the New Republic. 3. Yeah that was pretty dumb. 4. Duh 😒 that’s no surprise, even I who enjoyed the show has to admit that Sabine not telling Ezra how she found him was a bit of an odd choice. She keeps dodging the question because she’s understandably afraid to tell him because he knows that he may not take it well. But it never goes anywhere. It doesn’t ruin the show for me personally but it is a huge missed opportunity.
