Absolutely true! I applaud Crystal for not being a slave to makeup and wish I could feel confident without it. I use the excuse of blue eyes with blonde features which means no visible eyebrows or eyelashes that require makeup. 😜

Crystal, you are great. You're so tolerant of people. I'm in my 70's and I have been trying to remember so many children growing up so insensitive and rude. Your channel, from what I understand, was never about you personally. I have always felt it was better to ask questions politely. Not to go around making up answers that become rumors and usually hurtful. Thank you, Crystal, for being so sincere. I always taught my son to be sensitive to others people's feelings and be sincere in everything he does. Everything else just falls into place. Asking why you don't wear makeup was fine. I know that as the Bag O Day channel continues to grow and new people subscribed they may not know some of the answers to the questions that she has answered again today. I personally take my hat off to Crystal for doing this video and others like it!!! What people have to realize and respect is “this is her Bag O Day channel. About 40 years ago (am 70, now) an elderly male patient commented to me how he thought I was" beautiful without all that make up that most nurses wear..." YAY 🙌. Well, most people do look better with makeup, if it is done correctly and enhances your looks. But, when Covid hit the nation, and masks were mandatory, makeup became an uncomfortable chore. I haven't worn makeup since January 2020. I don't miss it. Instead, I buy hand sanitizers.

I’m sorry to hear that you get judged about such trivial things. I absolutely love your channel, not only for your tutorials but for the unique personality of the creator that uploads the content that I watch and learn from. Thank you Crystal. I love that you bought and kept your grandparents' house. My mom just passed on 9/13/22, and I am doing the same with her small farm. It was my grandparents' house, too, and I grew up living next door to them on the same property. I love that place, even though there is no running water, and can't imagine someone else living there or buying it to build town houses on the land. My husband and I live about 30 minutes away in an apartment and we pay monthly apartment rent. But, that homestead is my security blanket; if my health issues get bad and I can no longer work or afford rent, I will have someplace to go. I love sitting in my rocker on my Mom's porch and watching the cars go by as I crochet. It will always be home to me.

I find that crocheting is relaxing. I used to crochet using #10 thread and made doilies, coasters and table cloths back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Then I put it aside due to kids, school, after school activities and I also worked full time. In November 2018 I retired and decided to take up crocheting again. Due to arthritis in my hands I now only do projects with 4 weight yarn or higher.

I really fell in love with this Q & A you did here!~very refreshing. I love that you do not wear make up! You have the kind of face that is perfectly shaped, you are natural. A lot of women need make up, but you do natural wonderfully!! You appear to be clean looking, and your voice is soothing, and you are kind and polite. I like you make up free! Ugh....some people who say it would make you look better, needs to take a step back! I loved what you said about not accepting "freebie" yarns from other companies, and that you do not keep them, very honest. I would LOVE free yarn!!!
