Let’s Talk Traction Alopecia ! Can your wig or braids cause hair loss?

I ALSO LOST MY HAIR. Yes, I didn’t know that my wig could do this because it was too tight.
Traction Alopecia is more common than you think especially in the black and brown community. Lots of people don’t talk about it or feel embarrassed (please don’t be) but I noticed the more I shared the more people around me shared.
Some of the hairstyles that we do and are meant to be “protective” can actually lead to hair loss and damage to the hair if it’s too tight or not done properly.

Mine did this I was so sad. I have thick hair so I wasn’t too worried but still 🥲 u was hoping the wig would help it grow not make it worse
