BLACK GIRL GETS HAIR DONE IN KOREA
In this video, I, a black girl, get my hair done in Korea. I am surprised at the hip length/ waist length natural hair and that I am getting my hair done in South Korea. The Korean hairstylists' reaction to my hair was priceless! lol
The inspiration for this video came from Chilo Talks who lives in Japan and MaryJane Byram who lived in China but is now a world traveler.
I haven't been to a salon in about 3 years due to some hair horror stories but I am excited to get my hair done in Korea and try out the salon again especially in a different country. Normally being black in Korea, or any country in Asia like China or Japan, finding a place to get natural hair done is like finding a needle in a haystack. Therefore, I decided to do an experiment! Especially since this salon is one of the best reviewed salons in South Korea, so I am excited to see what they can do with my long natural 4c hair. The results were shocking and not the transformation I expected. I hope you watch and enjoy it until the end!
Sidenote: This hairstylist's salon is located 3 hours outside of Seoul at the bottom tip of Korea in an amazing city called Gwangju, also known as one the cities where democracy was birthed in Korea as well as the birthplace of BTS's Jhope lol. Korea Vlog of my time there to come out soon!

Try using Aveda products for straightening, section the hair to dry and tong, use tangle tamer brushes to detangle, use really SLOW passes of the tongs and chase with a brush. That will really help you to preserve the look for longer.

@@wlnyuh2330 You sound incredibly naive and dumb as hell. First of all, I don’t know if you think everywhere in the world is like the United States but let me wake you up since apparently you’ve been living in La La Land; Korea is NOT a diverse place just as a lot of other Asian countries aren’t! Their population is 99% Korean (It is, google is free). They don’t have people of other races/ethnicities walking into their doorsteps everyday. It’s extremely rare. Why would they know how to do the hair of someone who is not from their country especially when their country is no where near diverse? You’d rather make this an issue instead of being realistic and seeing the world for what it is. The United States is not the entire world and the world doesn’t revolve around it. Not every place is known as a “Melting Pot” of different cultures. Not every place is diverse and will know how to deal with something they’ve never experienced. Not to mention you were dumb enough to say “there are two types of hair in this world” Gtfoh. There are well over 2 types of hair that 7 billion people have. Stfu and be real for 5 seconds, please and thank you 🥴🤦🏽‍♀️

@@theblacknationnews he was describing it as dumbo to metaphorically explain how big(fluffy/volume) her hair is. Having big hair can be a compliment as saying you have a lot of healthy fuller hair that makes it look big rather than thin low density hair. Ppl with thin straight hair still uses methods such as “teasing” their hair so their hair can look more fuller or bigger. I’m not dismissing that we get made fun of for our hair cuz we still do but in this case here I don’t believe he was being passive aggressive. If he thinks of her hair negatively I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t bother doing her hair, he admitted that he doubt he could do it at first but still tried which shows he actually had interest in doing her hair and shows how much passion he has for doing hair in general.
