I think the thing with Elly is she is actually interesting to listen to, a lot of Vtubers do not have much to say or they are really shallow so they use other means to get there viewers, you can just listen to Elly while playing she has the gift of making her viewers feel like a community and offers handy tips and some awesome random chat through her stream.

It's why I stay off Twitch and stick to corpos mostly. 90% of the streamers on twitch seem to be playing follow-the-leader acting like someone else who's already there, vtuber or not. Of course there's always a few diamonds, like dear sweet Elly here, but I wouldn't have found her anyway if it weren't for KZbin and her game choice, BDO specifically.

You're defintely the number one, and Hexella follows, which I've met through your stream. I think you are both amazing, sweet, very authentic / original, not forcibly "too lewd", honest about your opinions and have very cute and detailed models. That's what kept me staying and coming back to watch more streans and hang out with you and chat every time Keep up the great work, you're doing great! Elly is my favorite streamer/vtuber ❤ never cared to watch vtubers, or mmo players. I honestly have no idea what's going on most of the time. But elly, elly is amazing. She is so funny and fluid with her chat. Starting mornings with her and chat feels like the ol' days when I would listen to MTV music before catching the bus for school. Elly brings that same energy, that energy that makes you happy ❤

my model is literally in an oversized hoodie cause that's what I'm like irl lol. I go out of my way to find more cozy vtubers/pngtubers because I tend to get annoyed at the same thing. I don't mind sexual stuff, I'm not like, anti-horny, but gosh sometimes it feels so forced and excessive. I just want my streams to be comfortable and chill and if that means I'm streaming to like, 10 people than I'm okay with it.

I've been following Vtubing for almost 4 years and I thiink this only really started happening after HoloMyth debut when Vtubing really started gaining major steam in the west because of Covid. It made me hard bounce of finding new indies for awhile because sexual stuff can only really do so much before it becomes grating but I think things are going to swing back to how it was pre-covid because the scene seems to be hitting a plateau after 2-3 years of insane growth in the west and vtubers will need to make themselves stand out more personality and design wise.

I think this is a common thing among streamers/youtubers. I remember when everyone wanted to be like Pewdewpie(?) be over the top and loud and I'm glad that went away. I guess it is more obvious among Vtubers, since you have an avatar and you see and hear people do the same thing. I also think this is fine at the start if you imitate, but try to put your own style into it. Personally, I cannot stand those uwu voices. I find it weird, I'm sorry for anyone that does have a very high pitch voice. I do a lot of customer service over the phone and one time I was told that I sound very mono-tone and I'm like "wtf do you want me to do? This is how I speak! Do you need help with your computer or not?" So I understand if your voice is not "liked" and I also think there's nothing wrong with that! Sometimes I hear Elly and I'm like "shut the-" Nah I'm joking. I like your style Elly, you have always come across as authentic and I truly respect that. Other Vtubers I enjoy are Hexella and itsmebellaa! Both are amazing people with their own unique styles!

Im pretty late to the party, I found someone new for me, despite you. Im sticking around SmugAlana for a few Days now. Shes sometimes a little unhinged and over the top but it feels natural and not like, you know, a cookiecut of what we see with all the big ones. I do watch a lot of Vtubers and I am myself as well, but from what I seen or should I say those Vtubers I watch they are not exactly lewd, but I mean there are some unique out there, speaking of what Vtubers I do like they are small time Vtubers and ofc I do watch your content Elly :) I think You won't have to be lewd, I think finding what you are good at, then people will stick around mostly because they want to watch you and the personality you bring towards the stream, Like the interaction you do with chat, the hello hello, those things in my opinion are a nice unique way that is your but this is just my opinion.

The Lewd Vtuber are fine in small diocese as long as you mixed in with other types like cute, singers, chaos, funny, and wholesome Vtubers. I have a lot of Vtuber that are my favorites and those are the ones that I follow including you, Elly. Almost all current and former members of Vshojo, Wolfychu, OniGiri, Mari Yume, Crime Boss Elly, Nux Taku, Mimcubus, Vexoria The Sun Eater, Shylily, Obkatiekat, Foxplushy, AiCandii, Akuma Nihmune, Ryker, and SunnySplosion to name a few of my favorite Vtuber.

Hard agree. I'm glad you didn't do any of the overly sexualized stuff with your model, yesyesyes a guy that doesn't wanna see his streamer sell lewd art, that's not for me. I think you clarified why I don't like Veibae, her personality just doesn't work for me. I also find that for some people it just doesn't work that well, though members of the fan base aside from myself don't recognize that. That mainly is the unicorns and who say they want their oshi to be pure, but that just means not interacting with somebody of the opposite gender in any way, shape or form and gachis who are paranoid they would be in a non-work relationship with someone. I'm not sure I would call them people, they seem more like robots with only basic AI. The ones that are the worst off either do BFE/GFE or are too scared to defend themselves. I could write an essay on this topic with how much it upsets me. Changing the subject, I find being a clone rather distasteful and disrespectful, though a number don't see it that way and think it means showing a lot of respect to someone or don't care. Not to mention you aren't even trying to do something new in that case. If you are going to get started you should at least try to do something new instead of being a copy paste.

I think vtubers would be better with models that aren't this appealing. A character with normal proportions, clothes that cover a good amount of skin and etc. But this is my opinion, the reason behind this is that i want to consume a content that is free of any sexual visuals and nasty talks about some stupid topic. Anyway, it would be easier for me to just give up on those streamers, based on what i have seen.

I think there is a market for this anime/lewd/girl next door vtuber scene and people see it as a quick cash grab. its rare to see people put time and thought into building their model's character/ego that it all comes out looking the same in the end. the only thing thats cringe in this space is the drama and gatekeeping associated to it. Maybe I just dont really care enough to understand it.

I can accept a lot of similarities, inspirations and stolen jokes but the one thing that gets me is what I call the "Vtuber accent". It's so cringey to me because I literally watched some vtubers before they got big(no names but major vtubers now) switched from their natural speaking voice to this breathy, UwU and vaguely sensual voice. I know why they do it and it obviously works, based on their current success. And it irks me that vtuber fans are that easy to milk. And I feel like this proliferation of unoriginal sounding vtubers only detracts from the uniqueness of an otherwise interesting genre of streaming. And it's only amplified by the anonymity that's inherent in this style of streaming. Going by voice alone, it could be one person piloting 100 different avatars.

I'm not into watching vtuber streams but I like some of them and see some clips and... GOD, it's awful watch the same thing like "oops! You got flashbanged, sorry *wink*", it gets so boring, I just wanted someone being genuine, like talk about themselves what they like, having fun with others but suddenly I get recomended something like "this mario party playthrough goes wrong", I clicked and they talking about "the size of my's can destroy you, let me test". Bro, just stop. It don't have to be like this all the time, it will get more worse, it will get more people like that, it will transform other people to be like that, directly or indirectly. Some Vtubers that I like are more diverse in content like Fauna playing Get Over It and talking about quantum physics ou nowhere, even when someone goes in that lewd route, at least it can be fun. Oh, you ask for favorite Vtuber, so there I go: From Hololive, I like Ina/Fauna From Vshojo, I like Henya From Nijisanji, I like Elira (mostly because of Xenoblade) In my country there is a group called Neobaka and favorite is Eeiris. I started to follow your channel some days ago, and I liked your videos, I will go see more to know more about you, but what I can see is that you have a more serious/chill vibe, and I will watch more in the future, so keep going!!

This is one of the reasons why i never really watch Vtubers. They all sound and act the same and it has always really bothered me for some reason. It sounds like they have a voice changer and have added the same "effect" to their voice. I watched you for a looong time before you even became a vtuber because of your personality~
