One out of two isn't bad. Incidentally, I wouldn't have put my hand in that Beko until I was sure the resident rodent was gone! It's good to know there's somebody as mad as me out there (or maybe as sane) - please keep posting the videos. Thank you.

Well done for doing the decent thing and collecting those for recycling. And it did make a very entertaining video as well 😊

Never could understand why people fly tip when using the same amount of effort they could have took the waste to their nearest recycling centre, or in the CRT tv's case offered them for free to anyone that may have been interested in them for retro gaming. Well done for picking them up to make an interesting video and to dispose of properly.👍

I once retrieved a set of bagpipes out of a ditch. The only part that was missing was the chanter - I couldn't get them to work neither! I have a huge Sony Pro-Logic set that I acquired from the local recycling centre, just before they were banned from selling electrical items back to the public. Like your tellies, it was full of pine needles, hedge clippings, cobwebs and water. I gave it about a week to dry out, after cleaning out all debris and detritus. Then I juiced it up, only for it to start up and die. After several attempts to keep it running, I concluded that it was either, a wreck not worth mending, or, it was that age old Sony sneaky trick where the PSU will start up, but needs a signal back from the frame timebase to keep it up and running. Usual Sony dry joint issue around the FTB chip. Fixed in a few minutes! Nice telly too, about 30" - Big, for a glass bulb. 🙋👍

Thanks for trying. Totally amazed with the Alba. Keep up the good work.👍

Alba was a separate company in the 70s and 80s used some Philips G8 and later Thorn 3500/ 8500 chassis. Later the name was sold by Argos etc this 14tvdvd looks like the profilo chassis from Turkey .I still have 2 new old stock Alba 14 in in boxes.

Oh aye, just a thought on the Beko.... Could it be one of those cases where the set defaults to standby after a power fail? Requiring the power button to be cycled through off, and back on again in order to get it to power on? Another sneaky Sony trick that's caught me out a few times, and not just Sony either!

This video gets my uber thumbs up for the most unconventional possible means of sourcing KZbin-fodder equipment.
