Location, location, location! What an amazing panoramic view! The hand-painted glass roundels are a lovely addition to each room, and I love that they are not all the same. A needle shower! Those are very rare now, but fun to see. The whole healthy living kick from the time resulted in some interesting gadgets and treatments. I'm glad to see that the property has been restored and maintained. Great tour of the home, with interesting history and explanations of special features. Wealth and connections could guarantee the best of everything, which now everyone can see and enjoy. Most people had ice boxes up through the 1930s.

Well said! This architecture enthusiast finds the many colorful roundels one of the most delightful aspects of the mansion. Also noteworthy was Thomas and Olive Plant’s commitment to outfitting Lucknow with the latest in technological innovations that would bring their lives more comfort.
