Beautiful first card! When you mentioned concern of losing detail with your inking, I learned a trick from Lynn at Blue Knight Rubber Stamps. If you leave your stamp in your Misti, you can re-stamp the image after coloring, & it brings back your details & makes them pop! 😊❤️

You “knocked it out of the park” with all 5 cards! Thank you again for sharing all your talent . I always learn something from you verbalizing your thoughts and reasoning with as you design and create each card. Today I finally realized that being able to “cut down” the paper prior to placing it on the base!! It DID make quite a difference. I’m grateful for you sharing using 80lb when fussing cutting! I just used 110lb after coloring and it wasn’t pretty….lol I’ve loved the glue on the tape because I am a person who can instantly see and then bothered when something isn’t straight or centered. I’m looking to receiving my kit! This really is a savings while also a great way to try different products and techniques!! I signed up yesterday after their live. I’ve been considering their inks and so grateful to SSS for including regulation size. Thank you again for helping me! I love your simplistic design. It’s always been a favorite of mine in decor and fashion although I must admit Im pretty much a leggings and blouse person since retiring…lol As usual I am rambling…. @@czdesign isn’t funny I didn’t see it until today??? I was the teacher who cut out students/employees news articles. I glued it to a colored piece of cardstock and laminated before giving to individual. I just liked it being framed. Other teachers (JH/SR high) joked about it because most never put up bulletin boards or decorated. All good fun! My point is I have had a certain style since I can remember. I see some of it with things you teach. Odd # items grouped in 3’s just looked better to me. It bugs me if something isn’t centered or straight…lol Just interesting. Just bet you have had that instinct also. I remember seeing your cards and really liked the use of fewer items and the elegant simplicity. Now I love antiques and have learned TONS from Tim Holtz, he also is TRULY a gifted instructor!! Grunge is just not my style although I can see the talent and beauty in what he and his team creates. Majority you have taught so much I haven’t known!! I’ve really enjoyed your videos teaching design elements. You and Tim are two who have taught me so much about fundamentals along with cards. I sincerely appreciate it!! Believe me! Majority already know I guess. I’d never heard of emphemera, bone folder, die cutting, etc, embossing folder, etc. I had no idea stamps were made from all types of materials…lol I was buying everything from Tuesday Morning and stored it waiting for remodeling. I wasn’t using anything just exciting and something fun!! I’ve thought about starting like “Kards from Kids” since we bought the house with building with electrical in backyard. It’s going to be a year from now!! We’ve got to do house before that. Oh well, I will hope!!! I can’t even make a card and I’m already planning on teaching??? I just miss it I guess. I’m a sunflower nut. I have tons of them everywhere in my house. They’re just such a happy and warm color. Doris Day, my idol, used to wear that color a lot. I wore it too and even cut my hair in the Bob she wore for years.

Oh thank you!! You brought back such wonderful memories. We loved her too! As reading your comment the memories of the seven of us gathered around the tv waiting for it to begin as Daddy adjusted the antenna (rabbit ears) on top of the tv get best reception. I even recall the anticipation and excitement we had when we knew one of the 3 channels were scheduled to show Doris Day movie! She definitely did wear this color!! I was born and lived in Kansas during some of my childhood and I decorated my classrooms with sunflowers when I brought in community’s people to mentor my JH Math students. I even found and made sunflower curtains!! Stampers Secret, thank you again for bringing back such beautiful memories this morning.

If you lower the card stock in the Scor Pal and start with the bone stick in a groove before you get to the card, you get a more consistent score line top to bottom. I love all these cards!

I love all of these cards, especially the one where you used green ink in the embossing folder. The background looked velvety. I had to laugh when you were booping your confetti on the first card and slid a large piece of confetti under the sentiment with a boo-woop!

My feelings, why risk a slip! I ordered this kit the night it was released. It’s such a beautiful kit. They’re still collecting cards for soldiers in Ukraine. I thought when I got my kit I would use this and make some cards to send to the soldiers.

I watched a video the other day where they said the stamps do NOT have a coating, but they are porous. So you have to stamp new ones a few times to fill the pores. So who knows!? LOL Anyhoo, I really enjoy your videos. I get lots of fun ideas, and I love your fun narrative. Your cards always turn out so pretty! Keep the videos coming, please!!
