Pinkie Pie's feats are considered for the "fight" because they are considered unique to her in her universe. She's not comparable to Bugs Bunny, because Bugs' whole universe follows the same logic. Pinkie's does not.

In retrospect I think the reason they had Pinkie Pie instead of someone like Bugs Bunny is because, like Deadpool, her powers are unusual for her world. Bugs on the other hand, everyone in his world can theoretically do what he does (though he's a master at it). And characters like Mxy from DC Comics can be defeated but it would be nearly impossible to kill them (granted, banishing him to another dimension could count as a death. Look at Rainbow Dash eating Starscream's spark--she technically didn't kill him). So because these are characters from worlds where their powers are incredibly abnormal and because they can both theoretically be killed, I think that's why it was this specific matchup.

I just realized... It's probably physically impossible to kill Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie wouldn't kill Deadpool, but Deadpool wouldn't kill Pinkie either... Pinkie can EASILY break physics and logic doesn't exist for her. Including being able to just... Not die. As simple as that. Pinkie Pie probably can't get the job done on Deadpool, but she will ALWAYS stay alive. SLICE, SHOOT, BURN, EXPLODE. She's fine. WTF Hasbro.

Will the Real Ris Grestar please Stand up? Also, apparently, from what they talked about on Death Battle Cast, due to the combination of Deadpool's healing factor and Pinkie Pie's toon physics powers, they found it to be easier and more logical for them to shatter the fourth wall and force a tie upon the show than to find a way for one to actually _kill_ the other. Looney Toons-type characters _are_ pretty much unkillable, when you think about it.

I thought this battle was rather interesting. Very reminiscent of the Chuck Norris vs. Segata Sanshiro battle; just something for the Death Battle crew to mess around and have fun with. I do think that Pinkie Pie, at the very least, was a good choice. Even though she is a cartoon character, she comes from a series where it emphasizes that she, in particular, is displaying absurd feats and qualities while the other characters not only lack those cartoon physics but often comment on and are baffled by those displays of Pinkie. This is different from someone like Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, who have cartoon physics but are pretty much in the norm compared to other characters in their respective series/settings. This makes her somewhat unique in her series, just as Deadpool is somewhat unique in his universe. At the very least it was something of a fair fight (despite it not really being one); they are both incredibly tough and fairly strong. Deadpool has regenerative capabilities and is a highly skilled fighter, while Pinkie is extremely fast and has better mobility. They both have weapons, with Deadpool and his personal arsenal and Pinkie with her versatile Party Cannon. I do agree with you on the point that, if it was a real fight, Pinkie would lose. She can technically just be considered a super powered being with a neat weapon; Deadpool is very experienced in fighting such people while Pinkie lost the first fight she was ever in (granted she was fighting an army and was just overwhelmed) and typically doesn't resort to violence.

In my opinion, saying 'a cartoon being a cartoon' is basically the same as saying 'a super hero being a super hero.' They both have crazy, insane powers, but what makes one more legitimate than the other? These are all well-documented abilities of the characters! Great reaction, really enjoyed it!

Just wanted to point out that there is a difference between Pinkie and a character Bugs Bunny since it was brought up. The feats that Bugs has are kinda shared among all Looney Tunes. Daffy gets shot numerous times and survives, every one of Bugs' enemies gets exploded on at least one occasion, Wile constantly survives falling from great heights, etc. Pinkie's feats are more limited to just her. While Rainbow has been knocked through trees before and there was that one time that Twilight broke the 4th wall, None of them have really done what Pinkie has on a constant basis, and all the characters react to what Pinkie does like it's abnormal. That's why they could get away with pitting Pinkie's cartoon physics against Deadpool's more "realistic" healing factor and 4th wall breaking abilities while they probably couldn't with a character like Bugs. Pinkie falling to pieces only to put herself back together is a feat that's unique to her in her world, as is the majority of things she does. As the characters have commented on, "It's just Pinkie being Pinkie."

I think a point for death battle using Pinkie Pie's cartoon like abilities is (as far as I know) no other pony have them, meaning it isn't a part of the world's physics (the other ponies had no idea how to get up the slide like she did). Thus, these must be powers specific to her. In the Rainbow Dash death battle, they say she can survive breaking through trees and such but not that she elastic or anything.

Theorised, that Discord, omnipotent Chaos God, who is also above narrative, exterminating Fourth Wall, is her ancient ancestor. A few people have mentioned this already, but yeah I don't think you can really expect _every_ pony in the show to be able to do what Pinkie does? The show does follow its own rules, but Pinkie's abilities are _meant_ to be extreme. She _is_ her world's Deadpool, which is why they matched her with him for this particular episode. Twilight can do a Dragon Ball Z fight with a major villain in the season 4 finale as an alicorn, but she can't fall apart and reconstruct her body like Pinkie. Rainbow Dash can fly faster than 3500 mph, but she can't break the fourth wall. And the list goes on. Bugs Bunny may be the master at bending the laws of nature in his own world, but the other characters all have their own "zany powers": Daffy can't be killed by a gunshot and the Coyote can survive almost any fall, for example. So they're two different worlds. This is why people are informed of abilities for these Death Battles; despite it being a show of pastel horses, there has to be research behind it, so there's going to be a basis for why they did the match anyway. It's not done just willy-nilly. Oh and plus the zany cartoon genre is less of a thing now then it was back in Looney Toons' golden years; just to put that into perspective. I don't mean to be condescending or too serious or defensive, but it just surprises me a bit that someone might expect every pony in MLP to have Pinkie's abilities despite the show not really appearing nearly as zany as Looney Toons. And it's hard to set that expectation to MLP "because it's a cartoon" when Deadpool is also a "comic book superhero", and all of them are super-powered beings anyway, so that law doesn't fully apply. Of course, Deadpool would win anyway in a serious fight, because he's OP as all hell, but yeah that's not what the video was. Glad to see you consider yourself a brony and there was no hate; a lot of reactors unfamiliar with MLP are being pretty harsh/pissy about the whole video. :P

Unique in that this death battle was essentially a draw by agreement, a la chess (as though Pinkie Pie represented white and Deadpool represented black). A death battle even *being* a draw is quite rare, a draw by agreement even rarer.

The thing about Pinkie Pie in the series is that all of her insanity cartoon-like stuff are recognized as freakishly impossible even in-universe. Others make note of it and consider her almost frightening at times. Her physics warping powers are cannon. Because of how seriously the show considers her toon-force, I would count those as part of her powers. And I don't even like MLP.

Fireball12 that was in season 2 cause season 1 was all about the lesson of the week and i guess they were making fun of it. Since then twilight iant the only one with lesson of the weeks the CMC have a dairy. Twilight and her friends still send letter but sometimes her friend write them. The ones from the movies that lives in a different deminsion writes to Twilight through a magical diary. Twilights apprentice also has a dairy that she writes ger lessons in. Anyways i remeber all this cause i just recently binge watch the entire series and movies in netflix.

I have to disagree with one thing you said; it doesn't seem unusual that they'd allow cartoon feats. Saying "oh, he can do that because he's a cartoon character" is no different from saying "oh, he can do that because he's a comic book character" or "oh, he can do that because he's an anime character". All these things work on different rules of reality; real people aren't ever going to fire laser beams from their fingers that can destroy cities.
