Nebula & Rocket's relationship was never really explored, but them being the only two Guardians who survived the snap and leaning on each other during the grieving period of "everyone" else on the team would have made them extremely close. At this point, Rocket and Nebula would have been closer than Groot & Rocket OR Nebula & Gamora. Groot is actually the offspring of Groot from the 1st movie so the history isn't there, and Nebula and Gamora spent most of their lives competing with each other. So if you think about it in those terms, Nebula and Rocket probably had the strongest bond of all the team members in this movie.

Interesting fact: Dave Bautista stated the reason Drax is wearing more clothes over his torso in the Christmas special and in Vol. 3 is because he stated it’s harder to keep up his physique at his age, and Gunn understood completely and helped dress his character accordingly to allow Dave to not have to put so much physical strain on his body.

Adam isn’t underutilized, you have to think High Priestess Ayesha states that they removed him from his cocoon too early, so he’s not at normal comic book full power. Once he is then he’ll be as strong as we recognize him normally. This is essentially baby Adam Warlock. Gunn stated the hardest part about the script was trying to implement Adam because he was the only part the MCU required him to put in Vol. 3

When people say he’s underutilized I don’t think they mean he’s a poorly written character. I loved Adam, but I agree with those who say he wasn’t used as well as he could have been. Gunn up and admitted that Adam was the HARDEST thing to write in this film, because he was teased so heavily at the end of GOTG2, but ultimately didn’t need to be included in this new story he wanted to tell. He was forced in, plain and simple. But we love Adam anyway.

This was a solid 9 or 10 for me, and I remember along with the whole theatre crying when Rocket cried. Everyone got their closure, Nebula became a cold-hearted villain to a warm-hearted protagonist, Drax finally become a dad, Mentis went to discover herself, and Peter came back to earth to fix ties with the Family he was running. We also got one of the best if not the best villain in MCU, who people really hate...Also, this had the best soundtrack, and you never feel bored at all and was one of the best movies from Marvel and Gunn.

I gotta disagree with what Jen said about the audience wanting to see other things aside from Rocket being saved. This movie was about HIM more than the rest of the guardians. Rocket is the reason Gunn decided to do Guardians. I personally think the time we spent on Rocket was just enough, and while as a romance lover i wanted Quill and Gamora back, I was glad with how much it was focused and how it ended. Star-Lord will return and theres a chance for those two to have more moments together.

I don’t think anyone has to die to add emotion or realism to a story. Rocket’s backstory and even Peter struggling to accept Gamora being gone added a lot of emotional weight to this movie. And that’s even when you take away the fact that Lyla, Teeths and Floor _did_ die along with the Gamora we know from parts 1 and 2. Peter or Rocket dying in this would’ve just been tragic, the movie didn’t need that.

I think you guys have been trying to hard recently to “be entertaining” while watching. Just know that your genuine reactions are enough. As are your thoughts. You don’t need to try and make jokes for us.. if anything it takes away from the experience because we know you guys are missing things by talking over the movie and sometimes watering down really emotional things by trying to inject levity. Just a thought

wow Matt really brought this movie reaction down with his tone.. none of the emotions were experienced in the way they had been intended because of his consistent interruptive jokes and seemingly negative energy, not letting them think for themselves, constantly throwing out the whole ‘no he isn’t dead they won’t do it’ so sternly. really threw me off

Honestly he does that a lot, i really enjoy this channel but personally whenever he's in the reactions its hard to enjoy them. Apparently we had it all wrong over the years, we kept thinking that the characters were learning to speak Groot, when in reality you gain the ability to understand Groot when you become close to him. So hearing him say "I Love you guys" at the end, was the audience becoming part of the family and we can now understand Groot as well.

I don’t mean to come off negative or rude but man, that Matt guy really ruined the entire reaction, I was extremely excited to watch you guys watch this movie but the amount of eye rolls and sighs I made while listening to his “jokes” honestly made this whole thing suck, I hope when he comes back again he’s able to speak and joke at the right times and not put his input or crack a joke in the middle of scenes that are important or emotional just for the sake of trying to be “Funny”

I really like the glimpes into Nebula and Rocket's relationship. As everyone has mentioned they were the only ones left during the blip. They started showing thier relationship in the special when Nebula got Bucky's arm for Rocket. It was a very thoughtful gift and I can't imagine it was easy to do (they still haven't explained that but then they still havnt explained a crap ton of things so we're just gonna move past that for now) Also, you may have noticed Rocket calling Nebula "Nebs", they're officially at nickname status. Cosmo is obviously, to me, closer to Kraglin which they kinda allude to in the special when she gets him a gift. It was a very "FAMILY" heavy movie, but I like seeing the little crumbs

@@HoldenHardman OG Groot never comes back, baby Groot is his son. And Loki and Gamora come back as different versions, yes, so I’ll give you them. But everyone else on that list is just straight up dead. I don’t count cameos that are set in the past like Frigga and the Ancient One. Because that doesn’t change the fact that they died and were never brought back to life in any form. If time travel counts then no one in all of history is ever dead.

Nebula’s arm cannon reminds me of the upgraded Sentinels from X-Men: Days of Future Past. At least Peter admitted to screwing up in Infinity War. Chukwudi Iwuji has said in several interviews that he doesn’t want us to empathize with the High Evolutionary. He genuinely wants us to hate him. I certainly do. It’s interesting because this is the first villain in a long time that we don’t have to empathize with. In the recent years, that has become the norm throughout most superhero films. My favorite fight scenes were Star-Lord and Groot gunslinging and then of course the Guardians fighting together one last time with No Sleep Till Brooklyn playing in the background. Gamora understandably wasn’t at her best in this film. I liked her the most in Volume 2 because she developed a motherly instinct towards Groot and reconciled with Nebula. At least Peter got to properly say goodbye to Gamora and gain some sense of closure. For me, Nebula and Groot were the highlights of this film. I never thought Nebula would have so much emotion, but I feel like in part it’s because she hung out a lot with Rocket during the blip since he was the only other active Guardian to survive. She even called him a friend right before entering the Orgoscope. As for Groot, he’s become much more reliable. He really surprised me with the ammo and the wings. It’s so cool that he could fly now, or at least glide. He also almost made me cry when he saw Peter freezing to death. The dude really is the heart of the squad. Drax found a new sense of fatherhood. My favorite moment with him was when he translated for Groot to Adam. And finally, Come And Get Your Love by Redbone helps bring the Guardians’ journey full circle.
