You foul beats will not have his soul!” I had become so invested and love this idea from getting into both but Dimitri protecting Guts soul from demons that arrive to take his soul after standing firm after death is one of the greatest things they’ve ever written. Glad to see you all react to it.

Guts died of blood loss because of the berserker armor and Dimitri's attacks. I'm pretty sure that last attack Dimitri did, there's no blood on his spear when he takes it out. Guts used the last of his strength to get back up and break Dimitri's weapon, and went for another blow but died due to the accumulated damage and bloodloss mid swing. At least that was my interpretation of it.

This actually could be wrong. The dragon slayer is over 300 pounds. If Guts were to die while swinging it, it would still have the momentum to cut into Dimitri. Instead, the dragon slayer suddenly stopped. I firmly believe that Guts used his last drop of blood to stop his attack. From a cinematic POV, that's how I see it. Ofc Guts still loses the battle.

@vick7868 when a car is driving 100 miles per hour and runs out of gas, does it just suddenly stop? No. Momentum carries the car to a gradual stop. The same applies to a sword in motion. If you swing a sword, you have to physically stop it.

The lead artist of Amphibia is a huge Fire Emblem fan so they included a scene where Sasha is dressed as Edelgard in the show. They also put out some art where she cosplays as Dimitri but it didn't make it into the show proper. That's why it was in the background of the cutaway.

I actually really loved the ending to this fight. I think it was one of the most raw endings they've ever had in the shows history. As for my thoughts on Silver Surfer, I like his whole vibe but his design always seemed to simplistic to me and kept me from getting invested in him.

Just for context the final scene for Dimitri's analysis is one of his more beloved endings by the fanbase where he and his most loyal friend, Dedue, become lovers. The scene before it is an alternate ending for him where he falls in love with Byleth, which is his second most popular ending.

Small thing, Dimitri and a Dedue are never stated to be lovers in their ending. While it states that they were like family it never actually states that they had feelings for each other.

@@thomas9208 you can view someone as family while not having feelings for them though. As I said, the ending never states that they ever had feelings for each other and I’m pretty sure Dimitri has said at some point that he views Dedue as a brother.

Silver surfer it actually does have elemental powers, the power cosmic let him control any element he wants because it’s the power cosmic is the most powerful shit in the marvel universe, apparently, but even in the comic books, he states that the power cosmic can do anything

Yeah one of Manhunter's main 2 things is mind powers, right next to shapeshifting, it's his bread and butter. Resistance is included in that. Do think Surfer will win, but very much won't be a stomp.
