It's actually physics, you gotta pressure the rolling pin at the left side(right if you're leftie) and hold the rolling pin lightly at the right side, you will find the roti moving by itself in circle while you roll your pin towards just one direction and also don't forget to put quite much of an amount of extra atta or your roti will stick to the rolling pin and the surface underneath.

Plus every culture has their own traditions from way before the internet was a thing so how would they steal it if they didn’t know about it?😂🤦‍♂️ it’s across the whole world no way at the time tortillas first started bein made was bc someone from across the world came and showed them how to make it and then they went and changed the ingredients it just makes no sense and no logic behind your statement.
