Good to see you working towards the kind of cattle you want. Our British native breeds are well represented, they may not get the highest price compared to the continentals, but meat from grass must be the best all round.

Some heifers just have to show how they want things done. Bulls have a great job. I hope you keep one eye on the fences so you have and escape route. They all seem pretty good natured. Good video. Pax.

Really like the use of the baldy bulls and the Hereford blood lines you have. I’m running an adult Hereford bull but just purchased a 8 month old black baldy that’s going to work with him next season!

Always enjoy your videos. If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost per cow for a vet to do a preg check?

I know how it is with a lot of heifers I have had 35 bulls born since the start of 2024 and 75 heifers so I will have a lot of replacements this year.

I agree, if you don't have a good mom, no sense in keeping them either. Have you ever owned and bred a long horn, or even a Watoosi.

Love the video! Question--when you turn the bulls in with cows that have heifers calves still nursing, when do you wean the calves to try and make sure they aren't bred too young?
@bradleyrotterman3052Ай бұрын
not bad looking herd.. you need to try out a Simmental bull...

Why don't you leave the bulls in for 45 days? Then put in a clean up bull

Do you use pelvic measurements to help in your decisions on your heifers?
