Wood was unsteady after the towel was thrown in too, wobbling around for that long, what do you people think Lara was going to do to him in even less time than that once it was resumed? Right decision by the corner, to make sure he can box longer and in better shape for the next one than he would have been if Lara had finished him. Lara was ready to pounce, even moving the ref with his glove to go in for the kill. People are stupid though, a sport filled with casual bloodlust and no common sense or care for the fighters.

Lads that are known for having good chins like froch lee wood are usually given the benefit of the doubt by the ref because of that ability to recover and in a world title fight and ahead and only a few seconds to go in the round we’ve seen fighters comeback from far worse.
