If I remember correctly, some of the dev messages have lore implications. So you might just want to play this one offline. You won't miss out on anything.

Personally, the hardest part of the platinum trophy, especially early in the game's lifespan, was getting the yharnam queen trophy. Nowadays there are online codes that give you extremely op gems and lots of souls early on and I'm pretty sure even one to get to the yharnam queen super early

@@genesisosuna Oh yeah Yharnam was rough getting to, but still one of the hardest challenge for me was beating Laurence, and it felt so amazing for me when i did finally 100% both the main game and the DLC

I actually think reading the messages is the best way to play the game. They have a lore explanation, other hunters help you on your journey. I read every message during my playthrough and there were only a couple that I felt negatively spoiled something. The other 99% of them were so much fun to read. Bloodborne has the most funny words available in the series so the messages are an absolute blast. I think you're missing out if you don't read them. But I understand if you want play it completely blind. In that case you should probably use offline mode.

So exited to see bloodborne starting, and I know these are recorded far in advance, but I do think that it may be best played offline. There's not a whole lot to online save for the chalice dungeons, which can be explored later, and the dev messages are scattered around with actual lore to the game that you will not want to miss, as they add to the mystery of the game.

just finished watching the entire video. You are going to have a blast with this game! Some GAMEPLAY TIPS 1. the sooner you understand the Rally Potential game mechanic the less frustrated you will be as you progress 2. the gun is primarily used to parry the enemies to set you up for a visceral (critical) attack, you actually did a parry on accident at timestamp 1:17:40. 3. you know you can do a visceral attack when the game makes a certain sound see timestamp 1:04:22. 4. explore, explore, explore, things & paths have a tendency to be tucked away behind stuff. 5. if your blood echos aren't on the ground an enemy somewhere near by has them...always I hope I haven't spoiled anything, I just know the first time I played the game I wish someone had told me these things. Can't wait for episode 2!!!!

This is the best Bloodborne Blind Playthrough I've found other than Generation Hollow's. The fact that you didn't know ANYTHING about the game is something I didn't get the chance to have when I first started playing, and I relate to the way you want to experience this fully in your freedom, with no rush, observing and attaching to the world you're in. As long as I didn't have anything i needed to spend echoes on, I bought blood vials. very solid strat. have fun, what a game this is!

I wish I could play this game for the first time again. I was just as bamboozled and in love. There is a way to differentiate between online and developer messages... I recommend reading them to get little bits of lore and how to use your weapons.

Everyone is already recommending playing offline but it’s probably worth the mods mentioning to him that there are no illusory walls outside chalice dungeons too. There are of course still “secret” paths but no illusory walls. This’ll be a good playthrough, hope he enjoys it!

In case you didn't notice: the developers messages (which contain a lot of lore!!!) are marked. There is like a small ball of light in their place before the messengers appear once you get close.
