Got connected through the bob James interview. This is a really good interview. And 49 this fall 2021 what Talib is saying about stings album was real for NYC that album was a deep album at the time. A really good interview I’m looking to your other joints. Music then was a whole different vibe...sigh. We will never get that back. And it’s the backbone of so much of hip hop/house era of mid to late eighties NYC scene. Just a really good interview. Appreciate the de la discourse on shorty no mas cuz I wondered the same. Thank you for this.

i remember "follow the leader" has not one cuss word in its entirety. my mom challenged me to find an artist rapping, that WASNT full of cuss words... and i found THIS album. i can say for a fact and i challange anyone to pull that album out and give it a listen not 1 cuss word.
