@@stevethepocket You are preaching to the choir. The Game Awards are an embarrassment to the industry as well as the medium. Just thinking about it gets my blood boiling. I've been watching the DICE Awards every year since 2012 (back when they were called "The Interactive Achievment Awards" (I Like this name better)) and I remember the feeling amongst gaming press at the time was that the Spike TV Awards (the TGAs predecessor) where on the way out and the DICE awards were set to take over the limelight. Then TGAs started calling themselves "the oscars of gaming" in all their press and completely stole all of the AIAS' momentum. Such a trashy marketing ploy. Set the medium back years but it worked.

In general, I find that there's a SUSPICIOUS number of devs who do not play games, or at least not the games they make.
