This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful renditions of this African Spiritual/hymn I’ve ever heard and from such young singers and their amazing conductor, it’s just mesmerizing! Thank you for sharing your musical gifts with us all! It became very popular in the 60s with the marches of Dr. Martin Luther King and others and seems even more relevant and needed to sing today with the racial unrest in our country today! With love and music and hope for our future! Susan Pope, Director Ms. Susan’s School of Music, Greenwood, SC

An obviously brilliant choir master, and the kids are serious about singing this song exactly right, all nuances in the proper places and hard to see anyone take a breath. Quite a treat! Exceedingly well done. It'd take a large world renown choir to do the traditional "Let Us Break Bread Together" song better! It's obvious I'm not the only one playing this over and over. 134 reactions, 2 comments, yet, nearly THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND VIEWS! Bravo!

In the Lutheran church in which I grew up, we sang this song so often I thought Martin Luther wrote it! :)

Good question, Elizabeth. I too would love to know the arranger/publisher of this beautiful spiritual. If you find out, please let me know. This is such a sensitive performance by this director and his young choir. Glad to know you were similarly impressed. Good wishes to you…Jim Tierney Toledo, OH
