What an incredible performance! The conductor and pianist are absolutely on the same page here, and both are true artists. The choir is a reflection of that artistry, and with their energy, the combination is hard to beat. I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this. I think it's the best arrangement and recording of the piece I've ever heard. Thank you, Luther College, for being champions, not only of the Gospel, but of fine choral music.

I was strumming my guitar and singing ‘Here I am’ my mom a week ago as she peacefully slipped away. We grew up in Elm grove with Dan Schutte and mom woke up singing this about 5 years ago, thus becoming one off my ;go to; songs every morning with my mom, Shirl the Pearl

This is a really beautiful rendition of a powerful and challenging song. Great arrangement, sung with conviction. Just a plea for those, who are deaf or hard of hearing. Please include captions so they have access to those wonderful words we all can hear. Why caption the title, writer and arranger at the beginning and the vidoe and not caption the lyrics? A pleasent performance but, never forget that a Hymn is a Prayer set to Music. It is not meant to be a theatrical performance.
