i think the implication is that those two arent SUPPOSED to be threats, nutcrackers were most likely a form of defense against actual intruders and barbers... no idea lol

​@konukaame_ there will be Mods specifically nerfing or outright disabling the Kidnapper Fox&Vain Shroud, I am predicting that rightnow. Vain Shrouds are....way too far spread&take far too long to kill. Had an entire Quota on Titan where the Company Store Dropship was nearly unusable because of how many fething Vain Shrouds were surrounding it. Even with the Kidnapper Fox dead by like 12PM it took me until around 6 or 7 PM to find the shovel&stungun the stupid Kidnapper Fox forced me to drop deep inside the Vain Shroud Jungle. And Kidnapper Foxes are clearly far too aggressive and hard to survive when alone. There should probably be a mechanic where after around 20-30s of trying to drag something away with their tongue-thing they will give up and run away for a few seconds. Although I will say it feels VERY satisfying and triumphant to kill a Kidnapper Fox.

While i wish there was more lore on Nutcrackers and Barbers, I do like how more like realistic it is for Sigurd and his crew to not know everything about every creature in the game. It also makes those two more mysterious and spooky imo
