Lethal Weapon Pursuit (Cop Car Chase) POV at Movie Park, Germany

Mein Herz blutet noch heute... Mein Vater ist mit mir damals, 1998, als ich 10 Jahre alt war, in diesen Park gefahren. Ich kann mich heute noch genau dran erinnern.. Dieses unglaubliche Gefühl in einer ganz anderen, tollen Warner-Welt zu sein. Und dann sind wir auf dieser Achterbahn gefahren, die zweite in meinem Leben.. (Die erste war die Marienkäfer-Achterbahn im Nachbar-Park 😆)... Wow... War das ein Erlebnis.. Diese Bahn besaß einfach so viele tolle Eigenschaften,eine super Einleitung, Spaß, Action, Thrill.. Mein Gott habe ich diese Bahn geliebt... Man merkte natürlich in den Folgejahren, das sie nach und nach Probleme bekam.. Aber ich hatte nie damit gerechnet, das sie dann nach zehn Jahren für immer verschwinden würde... Ich muss gestehen, ich weine dieser Bahn immernoch nach und glaube ich werde nie darüber hinwegkommen... Wenn ich dieses video sehe, habe ich das selbe feeling, wie damals, bei meiner ersten fahrt....

Der Sound von dieser Anlage einfach nur genial. Der zweite Kettenlift, wenn die Chasen da eingehakt haben einfach phantastisch 😁. Das brennende Auto vor der Ausfahrt aus der Halle funktionierte leider sehr selten.

This was the best coaster Movie World ever had. With a schooltrip we went here and with some people of my class we went on this coaster. One dude lost his bag in the crokscrew. Al his food and drink was damaged. The bag was found very quickly. Such a great time we had! Thanks for bringing back old memories.

It was a really good and interesting ride...I believe the ride had high maintenance costs but not sure if that was the reason they removed it...was sorry to see it gone.

It seems like this was built really inefficiently. There isn't any way that one coaster with two inversions should have two lift hills; Add another one, now you have four inversions and four lift hills. They actually had vertical brakes on this, talk about wasting momentum. What a shame, all of that money (theming + 4000ft of track).

overbanked The inversions are very spaced out (one early on, and one at the end of the ride), so I don't necessarily agree that the need for two lifthills was inefficient. It IS a real shame the ride was removed...as it was a unique attraction and the racing element was fun.

Vielen Dank für das Video! Nach einem super Besuch im Phantasialand mit meinen Kinder wollten wir (bzw. ich) jetzt in den Movie-Park. Um genau diese Achterbahn mal wieder zu fahren. Da habe ich von meinem einzigen Besuch vor ca. 2 Jahrzehnten noch tolle Erinnerungen dran. Aber oh jeeeee: die gibt es nicht mehr? Was ein krasser Verlust 😞

I loved this, too. They said the ride broke a lot. I live close to the park and we went there many times, and often the ride was out of order. In the end it had to be repaired so often that it's upkeep was too expensive. :(

Nice vid! And it's the pursuit version! I'm not sure so correct me, but when I did the ride when it was changed to Cop Car Chase they left the fire out. You could really feel the heat before the heartline roll! It was quite a unique Intamin ride. Too bad it's gone indeed.

Amazing onride video! I had been looking for one ever since I heard about the ride around 1998-1999. For the fire effect, I think it was cut around 2000-2001, along with the rest of the effects. Six Flags did not want to give budgets to the park for them to keep effects like that.

It's too bad that this ride is gone. I visited Movie Park Germany last year and enjoyed it, but I think this ride would have bee one of the best ones at the park.

A shame, this was definitely the best rollercoaster the park had! Every few years, since the opening, we visited the park - I think about 6 times in total.. every visit the park became less & less.. and a lot of great rides disappeared.. a real shame..

@@MuffinTV Der Bandit soll ja schon wieder ruhiger fahren die haben da umfassende Retrackings dran gemacht den könnte man zu einem Hybrid Coaster umbauen und zum MP Express würde ich ein Inverted Coaster von B&M empfehlen die haben es drauf und die Bahnen fahren schön sanft. COP Car Chase wieder aufbauen mit einem verlängerten Layout und einer höheren Geschwindigkeit und einer krassen Thematisierung und der Park wäre zusammen mit Star Trek Enterprise wieder voll da..

@Prim3StaR It was originally a park owned by Warner Brothers, built on the remains of a few failed parks. When Premier Parks bought Six Flags from Warner, they got their hands on this park and that's when the cheap additions started and the effects stopped getting fixed! Premier Parks changed their name to Six Flags and in 2004, sold their european parks to a capital investment group called Palamon. That's when the name got changed to Movie Park Germany and all the names got changed.

That must be a long time ago cause Batman flew away, Looney Tunes ran away.. The cop car chase was indeed one of the suprisingly unexpected coasters at that time. But suprisingly enough it was deconstruct and never seen again :(... The heart, the passion, it's all gone.. Fair enough: last year's edition of halloween was awesome at movie park!

Ich war sie zum Glück gefahren und sie war echt genial! Mein Herz blutet noch heute aufgrund des Abrisses. Meiner Meinung nach war es sowieso der größte Fehler, genau DIESE Attraktion abzureißen. Durch diese ganze Lizenz-Geschichte vor 15 Jahren, entwickelte sich der Park dann ja auch in eine immer negativere Richtung, die nun seit ein paar Jahren immerhin stetig verbessert wird.... Und trotzdem ist einiges an Charme verloren gegangen, den der Park damals hatte.

+Leonardo Bruzzone It was a rough ride at the end of it's lifespan because maintenance work was sluggish during Six Flags owned period of the park. Movie Park (owned by StarParks at that time) had to decide if they would renovate the ride for 12 million euro or spend it on a new park area. Sadly they choose option 2 because they could market a new area (Santa Monica Pier) while a reopened renovated coaster wouldn't have been big of an advertisement..

The park changed its name to Movie Park 14 years ago...the video description explains that when I filmed it the park was WB Movie World. Der Park änderte seinen Namen vor 14 Jahren in Movie Park ... Die Videobeschreibung erklärt, dass der Park WB Movie World war, als ich ihn filmte.

davidjellis der Park hat nicht nur den Namen geändert, der Park hat den Besitzer sowie auch die komplette Firma gewechselt einschließlich die Lizenzen. Deshalb durfte movie park auch die achterbahn cop car chase gar nicht verwenden. Movie world gehört zu den Six Flags parks aus Amerika und movie park Germany steht unter Vertrag von 20century und nickelodeon. Deshalb ist es falsch zu sagen das die achterbahn im movie park steht.

Die Bahn stand bis 2006 im Park und lief bis dahin auch noch. Den Movie Park gibt es unter diesem Namen seit 2005. Also: Cop Car Chase stand für 2 Jahre auch im jetzigen Movie Park ohne Warner Lizenzen. Deshalb hiess sie in dieser Zeit ja überhaupt Cop Car Chase und nicht Lethal Weapon. Keine Falschinfos verbreiten!

Did you ride it? To be honest I don't think anyone can properly judge a ride from watching a video, especially a really old video clip - the ride was actually very good and unique...shame it's no longer around.
