We RUINED the new Rocket League game mode for everyone

The disparity between when it starts to flash and when it actually does something is so funny. It's like they knew resetting it back to center was a silly consequence so they were hoping the flashing red danger would be enough of a deterrence. It's an interesting game mode but hopefully it goes back in the oven to cook a little longer.

Game mode idea: Rocket League Echo Location In a nutshell, the field is pitch black, or very limited visibility, and you locate the ball by some sound file you attach to it where the closer you are the louder it gets. Maybe try this in a limited height field? Or not...I'd love it either way!

It should be 15-20 seconds and then the ball should be teleported to the other team side. Also, I don't know why but on the other side it feels to me like the boost is a little weaker, something like 0,85x instead 1x.

My nephew and I played this mode first time and we were so evenly matched against the other team that we had a 17 minute overtime. This game mode is fun but I agree if the ball is held it should be a score for the other team.

Splitshot would work really well with the mode you played the other day where it scores after 15 seconds on one side. even the visuals are probably more like what you envisioned too

To fix the exploit, just move the middle barrier closer to the team abusing the exploit. If the ball’s still stuck, either: A) The other team gets a point. B) The exploiting team gets demoed with the normal respawn timer (not instant). Chat, did I cook or nah?

I really enjoy splitshot. It feel like it’s a better game mode to learn to stay close to the ball while in the air. I struggle with air dribbling a little bit. So a “boomer ball” game mode that requires you to make a play in the air if the opponents are being aggressively defensive, makes sense to practice in it. Hoops just doesn’t do it for me.
