Lethbridge use to be a suburb of Fort Macleod, the wind blew it to the location it is at today

Ah Lethbridge the only airport in Canada that uses a chain for a wind sock. When the sock hangs straight down the wind is calm. LOL

hahaha, I dont know if you are being serious but we are home to the largest wind gauge in the world so that is something.

When I moved from Calgary to Lethbridge my stress level dropped by at least 50%. Love Lethbridge. If I want excitement, I drive to Calgary for a weekend.

Ive been to Lethbridge and red deer. Lethbridge is less stressful to drive around.

Red Deer has so much through traffic with crazy drivers from Edmonton and Calgary. It is funny you mention that. People that have lived in Lethbridge their whole life will still complain about Lethbridge drivers.

ONE QUESTION? If property taxes are lower in Calgary ... Why is rent higher. This is interesting info. I wish I knew more about economics.
@LivingInLethbridge7 ай бұрын
Rent is directly tied to home prices and home prices are much higher in Calgary.
@Shauna-m1o7 ай бұрын
@@LivingInLethbridge Ok I think I understand... rent has to do with the owners mortgage rather than their property tax.

No comparison really come on. You'd be lucky to find a job in Lethbridge. Calgary has an International Airport, Rockies literally 45 mins from Calgary. Sure home prices are going up but its relevant to where you live right? What's the point of buying a cheap home where you will definitely miss things. A better comparison should be Vancouver vs Calgary or Toronto vs Vancouver but Lethbridge has no business competing with a big city like Calgary. Calgary has the Stampede, Amazon's distribution center and Amazon Web Services just opened their location North of Calgary. If you wanna get ahead in life and get experience you'll definitely wanna leave Lethbridge. I had a really close friend who told me about growing up there and he said it's one of those towns that if you dont get out while you're young you end up never leaving. I'd take Edmonton over Lethbridge

There's a reason it's cheaper to live in Lethbridge. Ain't shit to do there but drink. And last time I went there, it literally smelled like shit.

If you suffer from migraines. Avoid Lethbridge at all costs. Heck even Calgary is terrible but not as bad.

All this video is, is over playing the upsides and under playing the downsides it's called methbridge because it's the drug capital of Alberta its got more drugs per person than anywhere in Alberta that being said Alberta is pretty drug free in comparison to BC the drug capital of Canada the other thing is that even though housing prices are lower jobs are also lower paying in Lethbridge if you want a less biased opinion you shouldn't watch a video by a channel that literally says he's a Lethbridge realtor

Since COVID there are tons of people that were previously working in the office that are now able to work 100% remotely. Lots of my buyers moving here fit this criteria. They are able to buy their first-ever home here. Alberta as a whole has some of the highest paying jobs. Yeah, you could possibly make more in Calgary but their home prices are nearly double that in Lethbridge. Their salaries on the other hand are definitely not double on average. You have to look at the full picture.

Lethbridge VS Calgary? None of them. First -40 C is common. Then cities made for cars worse than the US. Third the province went all the way to make sure the French language would NEVER be spoken in parliament and .. they won over a technicality. I could go on and on. To each its own. They would give me a billion and I would not live there. As for cultural life... well forget about it.
