I have always appreciated your perspective because I related to your graduate school experience. I definitely think it would be worthwhile talking about your nonfiction reads; you lists of books read, eg xyz in the archives and the other text about saint augustine - I guess it’s interesting to know those texts are out there and hear your brief comments on them. But it’s really in your hands 🙌 if you feel like you’re shouting into the void. I think folding those reads into contemporary politics or trying to bridge certain topics, eg nature conservancy, animals in society, and medieval animal studies (just a thought; i know early modern != medieval)

Fariba, it's great to see you back! Congrats on your marriage and move, very exciting!! :) Regarding YT, honestly I love hearing about obscure books and have had that feedback from others as well. Niche booktube takes longer to build a channel, so it may not be the best option for monetization. But I think if you put the videos out there semi-regularly (weekly+), you'll gain some dedicated viewers for sure! I would check out Roberto Blake's tutorials for creating great thumbnails and other things you can do to improve in the algorithm. Looking forward to hearing more!

Thank you Marian! I will probably put everything on one channel. Niche channels are hard to build, but I have begun making thumbnails on Canva. I'm still figuring out how to make eye-catching ones. I like Roberto Blake's tutorials too

It is so good to see you again!! Many congratulations on the wedding and getting the first chapter of the PhD accomplished!! Perhaps a first word saying Animals if the entire content is on that subject. Congratulations on getting married! Sounds like life is hectic with marriage, move and school so thank you for posting. Your hair looks pretty. I would follow your nonfiction channel if you made one. I love your obscure taste. It introduces me to works I would never have discovered. It you presented them on your current channel I would like that as well. I understand the motivation issues do to lack of audience, but I suggest always talk about what your passionate about.

Hi..commenting for the first time. Congrats on the wedding and the thesis chapter. Well, the reason I came here the first time was because of the Francophile Reader as being a learner of french and being v interested in french and francophone lit your channel intrigued me, but having said that I continue to be subscribed to channels because of bookish content that interests me and the way it is presented so if you want it to reflect your wide tastes that is an additional bonus :). However if you do start another channel I will be subscribing there too as I like non fiction and would be keen to know. Good luck and thank you for the content.
