I am surprised that you bought it..... Andrew usually crushes his stuff by running over it with a dozer, or with his mower....... When Andrew is done with something....it is done....so he should have just given it to you.

There probably wasn’t anything wrong with your coil. These are designed so the fan runs constantly with the burner switch on but they will only ignite when water is flowing through the coil. I have the same pressure washer and when mine quite heating it was the fuel shutoff solenoid was plugged up. Wouldn’t let fuel through. Clean it out good and it went back to working

ungodly easier to work on whenever they do break down too. it's nice working on a clean machine vs having to deal with rusty mud covered bolts and panels, dirt and mud caked into places that just rusted everything into a chunk of garbage... it'll turn a 20 minute task into a 6 hour job

I just got one too from the local auction. I hope all is well right out of the gate but Andrew had problems so nothing is for sure till one fires it up. The guys told me to not shut it down hot or the o rings on hose will go (melt) . The said , ok to run hot but when your shutting it down for lunch or end of day, turn off burner and continue to pump water to cool everything off. Mine came with a dozen or so o rings. I'm thinking they are right. My maiden voyage will be soon. I have 2 f350s and one 250 that the lower engines need a bath. Then it's off to the farm for the tractors skidsteer and excavator. it's the only thing to use to cut the grease and oil. I've wanted one for a couple of years too. Enjoy !

I think I would have tried to buy another coil first before hacking that up to fit a standard one, but let's be fair you did one heck of a job converting that all over to fit a standard blower. Now that you did that I think that is even better because you are not committed to buying them specialty parts for the blower just a standard blower much cheaper to buy them parts, you did one awesome job buddy and if I was you I would be very proud of that converting project. Myself I always dreamed about having one of them, but never bought one because of so much money super love your ingenuity awesome job Dave Mary Christmas to you and your family and keep making these videos buddy I like them a lot

Be careful...........the thermostat may not be rated for 120vac as was a 12v dc application, if the contacts weld you will loose temp control.........as far as the inverter, you have two "loads", blower motor and burner transformer, the transformer must run on some sort if AC but a 12v DC motor could work right off the battery.........there must be some "electronics" in the 12vdc unit to get the necessary waveform for a transformer to work and step up 12v to a higher potential 73 Mike K1FNX near Boston

Great video... thanks for sharing... Hoping it will help me with mine... While you had the oil empty... you should have added an extension pipe onto the oil drain plug location that extended out far enough so future oil changes wouldn't require you tilting the unit, and having to do a ton of cleaning on the deck afterwards... I was given an older one a few years ago... got he pressure washer side working... diesel side was next on the list of repairs then I got sick with a couple of cancers... doing good now... It's buried out back under a couple of tarps waiting for me to get back to it... but so are a bunch of other projects... LoL...

Why don't you replace the small diesel-powered engine with an electrical pump capable of producing the same psi? Since your heater is also running on AC power replacing the diesel engine will reduce the noise level provided you use this with grid power.

Witam. This inverter has Modified sine wave, You need sine wave for electric engines. :)

I had this same unit. Very powerful at 4000 psi and 4gpm. My hot side went out as well. I figured it was the igniter. They sell that igniter for $180. I was going to fix it but ended up finding a good deal on a really nice used northstar unit. Figured I’d have better luck long term with the northstar. Seems like all the problems with these EK units is in the hot side so hopefully with your modifications it’ll be problem free long term. Btw, the pump takes ISO68. Not the typical 30wt non detergent.

I just bought an Alkota hot pressure washer from auction. After fixing about 3 minor things the thing works beautifully. One of them was that the burner on mine wouldn't fire unless the pressure sensor senses the correct pressure/flow when the trigger is depressed to prevent over hearing everything. I priced the unit out and couldn't believe what they sell for new. They're in the 5 digit range now unreal. Edit also you want to run water through the unit without the burner on, for a minute or two to cool everything especially the coil down after use. It will significantly increase the coil life.
