A guy shows up one night with a VW Bug, announces that he's travelling to Winnipeg - 2 or 2.5 hours - and says "fill it up, and you better give me SIX quarts of oil"!

Wow in a little VW, Marge used 4 gallons during the 2000 miles back from SanDiego. 😬. Most of that was on the first 1/3 of the journey as the rings seem to free up😎👍

I went from the cast iron points distributor in my '65 Impala with the original sbc 283 to an aftermarket Mallory electronic distributor an went a full second faster with that change alone. Removing the power steering belt was worth a half second but that trick didn't make a difference with the sbc 383 that I swapped in though. Just a couple things you can tryout to get that puppy moving better.😎👍
