In today’s video a 55 year old teaches me how to make an authentic Ghanaian traditional pots.
I traveled to Vume a town in Volta region of Ghana and I’m sharing the step by step process of making these beautiful Ghanaian pot. Most of the women in this town do sell these pots for a living and our amazing host isn’t any different.

Such smooth work with the bare hands . So they dont use that rotating thing some. This is amazing...

Wow! Much respect to these women. This is the real pottery work right here! In America there are tools to help spin and make it easier but there it’s true hand/ hard working techniques used to make the potteries beautiful. How much do they make on the sales and how often do they sell?

There are tools here in Ghana too. But the very traditional pots are handmade. These women make roughly 20 pots each on a daily basis. These pots range from Ghc10-50 equivalent to $1.70 - $8.50 When it come to sales they really don’t have a fixed amount because sales fluctuates

😂. They have once that they do with a machine but the cooking pots are handmade
