For as long as there are no major changes to the interface of Blender, this course should be compatible. This is a phenomenal resource. Finding an end to end tutorial series that covers basic character creation, retopology, UV unwrapping, texturing, as well as rigging and animation (including secondary motion and follow through) is soooo hard to find.
