The 38 SAV is a terrific boat. I took one out on a sea trial in very rough conditions and it performed quite well -- minimal pounding at 30 knots into steep, close-packed 3' - 4' whitecaps. Very dry, fingertip steering downsea in sloppy conditions, handled well in tight docking situation. Good-looking boat. Well-thought out helm, great day boat. Cramped cabin but separate shower is nice. Probably would have bought one but the outer lip of the T-top hits me right in the forehead. Hard for a tall guy to find a boat -- same head scraper issues in Tiara's, Formula's and many other boats. Pursuit and Boston Whaler are OK for tall guys but a 38' Boston Whaler Realm is priced more than $200,000 higher than the Regal 38 SAV. Thanks for nice introduction to the 38 SAV.

You are correct about the low t-top height. I noticed that too. They are good running boats for sure. If I take it for a ride it will be the next video😊

Great video tour of a really awesome boat. The gas Westerbeke is standard equipment, while the diesel FP is a $10k option. I wonder how hard difficult the seagrass carpeting is to keep clean. I’d probably go without.

Nice boat Justin-wonder how long the lights on the speakers hold up😆--I can see big maintenance bills on owning something with all that stuff. We all know when you add salt water the life expectancy declines precipitously. But hey-it’s good for business and it adds content to your channel.

Hey Justin. I have followed some of your videos and recently bought a 2022 38 SAV. Need to work on the electronics and have no idea how to access the back of the helm. Any suggestions? Do you work on these still? I'm right across from Pasadena on SPB.

I unfortunately do not work on the Regals anymore but I do know that you have to remove the top dash pad to access behind the dash. The tray comes out and I think the pad is just glued on.

While I love the cockpits on these modern cruisers, the cabins are not impressive compared to the cruisers from the early 2000s. These are expensive day boats.
