@@cat_or_rabbitwhat’s a green that has less yellow and desaturation? Don’t like the usual green for raptors as reminds me of death guard obviously that vomit green…want something close , but again more vibrant green I guess.

Great tips! Never thought of using the underside of bases as quick palettes, or offsetting the mini on the base to get underneath. Going to try this scheme on a death guard kill Team 👍😀

The green is actually how I did my death guard green armour a few years ago but I layered the colours on instead, glad it helped!

Fantastic stuff Rob, really good tips! That battle damage is exactly how I do mine and once I'd nailed that it really felt like I'd improved as a painter. Cheers - Salmon miniatures.

Oh man the magnetized sprue attaching to the hobby lamp is brilliant! And it never occurred to me to paint the undersuit before the rest of the model. I've always started marines on the left leg on autopilot. The hobby hacks in this one are fantastic. Also as a Philadelphian and 76ers fan I am always compelled to point out whenever I hear the phrase, especially from our British friends - you guys realize we fired the "trust the process" guy, right?

@cat_or_rabbit Seriously, those urban bases look like a really unique take and I'd love to see how you do them. Also, wondering what drybrushes you use? I can never seem to find ones I like and the smaller one you used looks perfect for what I need. Lastly, we can't get Colourforge here in the states so please feel sorry for us. What a great product you got really nice results out of.

@ bases are very easy to do and work well with the drab tones of the raptors. Dry brushes are from artify, army painter also do some very similar which are slightly better in my opinion (I actually need to do a video on them - so that will be coming soon!) And as for colour forge not being available in us they did recently make them easier to get in North America - although I’m not sure they sell direct and may need to find a stockist ( here’s the link to the NA website thecolourforge-na.com/? )
