You could literally make this with an ender 2 from Amazon 😂😂 I've 3d printed gauntlets and all kinds of cosplay armor stuff with my 149 dollar printer (bought it on sale). You just have to learn to splice the pieces into smaller components to fit the print bed, contact cement them into place and use spot puddy to reduce sanding time rather than whole Bondo. I'm broke most of the time from paying bills and I just have to get more inventive on how I make things because I can't afford to outright buy it, The story of my life I wanted something, couldn't afford it, so I learned valuable skills and learned to make the item myself.

Honestly, they aren’t that expensive anymore. You can get a decent, high resolution 3D printer for 200€-400€. I suggest Anycubic Photon Mono X 6Ks. It has a GREAT resolution and a pretty big print volume. Also, it’s fast. Obviously It’s not gonna work for stuff like this helmet… but for the big stuff you can get a lower resolution printer and that just means it’s even cheaper. Edit: I just checked, and X 6Ks is on sale. Like 200€. Biggest issue with it was the price. And I bought it simply because it looked cooler than the other ones I was suggested even if it didn’t do much more than its competition. Okey, rereading this… I sound like a bot making a sales pitch. :/

I didn’t want to be the guy who said “I told you so,” but a lot of what happened with your 40k designs would’ve still be available if you just made things cheaper for your audience (already very niche btw) then you guys can be paying for the rights to build more 40k stuff and it would be more financially achievable. You’d end up with a larger audience and consistent cash flow. If you’re still going to do your expensive annual membership with no 40k files, then I’d highly recommend to change your minds and make your pricing lower (or get rid of the annual membership completely) so you can gain more subscribers and not end up being DCMA for all your builds because you’d be able to afford to buy some rights or else you’d just be doing a lot of originals. Hope you guys will bounce back from all this.
