Lets talk about about Operation Shelf of Doom.

interesting video! I've started a similar journey regarding my own shelf of doom, just before xmas I finally got a 1970's matchbox A 10 finished that I think I started about 17 years ago! and all it needed was a few more decals on, then put the ordinance under the wings, about 2 -3 hours work, so I would say start with the kit that needs the least mount of work to finish, either the MQ-9 or the P 47, then move through in order of complexity, that way there less chance of getting stalled again, then the shelf of doom begins to look bare, and less daunting to get more stuff finished.

Glad to see your back and hope you get plenty of bench time. Had to think on this question and came up with this order. Knock out the easiest one first which looks like the F-4 then if your mind is right tackle the hardest one MH-60. If your mind is not in it tackle the next easiest the P-47 then the MH-60. I am not going to add the other two due to them not being my type aircraft.

Great video! Glad to see I'm not the only modeler with several projects in a stalled state. FWIW, I would start with the ones that need the least amount of work to reach the finish line. Then move on to the more involved ones. You'll finish sooner and the good progress will keep you motivated!

First off, had quite a few buddies working on '60's in HS-14 and HSL-51 in NAF Atsugi, Japan before I left there for the final time in 2011, only a couple short weeks before the Tsunami hit. My opinion, like some others, would be to work on the ones that are nearest completion first. Though I would also piddle with the SeaHawk here and there just to make sure it is done for the show. All fine looking birds, BTW!!

Hey man. Hope you are well and looking forward to club meetings, bench time, and shows in 2025. Often when giving a choice between 5 projects one of them will talk to you and that will motivate your decision to complete that model first. You could also take a practical approach. Whatever project needs the least amount of work (maybe model 1?) complete that and move to the next one nearest completion and so on. This approach leaves the most time consuming project last (the helicopter?). All your focus is on this one without the other shelf of dooms needing any attention. Just resist the urge to open bags on that new kit. I know that’s a tough one.

Shelf of stall.... I have been super busy with work and family and possibly moving in June. So it's time to get busy again. Currently meng e super hornet tamiyas b phantom z-m early phantom and tamiys p-38. I decided to stick with the e hornet. It's the closest to paint now.
