Naw, Senshi is a ranger with favored terrain: Underdark. He's a master at surviving in the dungeon and barring magic that transforms the layout, he knows how to navigate underground. He of course has the Chef feat and casts Good Berry reflavored as cooking monster food to always fill his companions' bellies every day.

On the topic of Marcielle’s class, I have a few remedies that could explain the few cleric spells. Firstly, should could’ve taken the Unearthed-Arcana Wizard subclass “School of Theurgy” which would grant her access to her chosen domain’s spell-list, and eventually any cleric spell once they have all the domain spells they have access to chosen. That would grant her access to Cure Wounds, Greater Restoration, and Raise Dead. Secondly, she could have the Strixhaven Student-(Witherbloom) background. That would grant her access to Cure Wounds and Greater Restoration, as well as the spell Revivify. However that still leaves Raise Dead unaccounted for. I haven’t watched the show, and if someone has, please correct me, but perhaps it could be a “Gentle-Repose until Revivify” kinda situation. So yea, either Theurgy (I’d say Grave or Life Domain, but if someone who’s watched the show has a suggestion, I’d love to hear it!) School Wizard or a Wizard with the “Witherbloom Student” Background

A lot of really good observations and choices! Though I have to mention that being a monk does *not* allow unarmed strikes to sneak attack, as while they can use dexterity, they don't actually gain the finesse property, which is required for sneak attack. I imagine a lot of DMs would allow it or at the very least allow flavouring a monk weapon like a dagger that does have finesse as just using claws though.

*If Fallin ever does get made, there are two options you could go based on where you pick her up at. 1) The Human/Race + Spirits Bard (sense she can/could talk to ghost) & Abjuration Wizard (Marcell out-right says this) with the Haunted One background. 2) Simic Hybrid/Race + Path of the Giants Barbarian (just watch the whole of S1, you'll see what I mean) with the same background.

Actually, a bit of a spoiler, but Marcelle isn't actually an elf, she's actually a Half-Elf, her mother was an Elf and her father was a Tall Man, and she really hated how she saw her father waste away due to old age as she matured, think of what that could do to someone's psyche, especially since her mother wasn't in the picture for a considerable chunk of that time. Also, I just found this channel, seeing as this is literally the first video on this channel I am watching. A series that could be pretty interesting to see get broken down into D&D characters would be the primary cast of Dave the Barbarian, seeing as the show is basically a D&D campaign anyway. Some of the main cast, like Dave and Uncle Oswidge would probably be pretty straight forward, while others like Candy and Fang might be a bit harder to nail down; also, Faffy, their pet Dragon, might be hard to figure as to just what kind of dragon he is supposed to be, especially since said dragon seems to usually be intellectually challenged, is basically a flying potato (there is an episode where a character the main cast is interacting with literally calls him that), and breathes lightning while being not much bigger than a lapdog. Granted, due to age differences and the like, that means that each of the characters will likely be different levels.

The hit point calculation for Marcille was off. I just point this put because you yourself seemed to be questioning it. She would have a minimum total of 25 if she rolled a 1 on each level up (6 hp at base +1 rolled every level afterwards and +1 per level from her constitution modifier) She would have a maximum total of 70 if she rolled a 6 on every level up. And most importantly, she would on average have 47.5 HP (7 at level 1 + 3.5 (average roll on a d6) for every level afterwards + 1 for every level from her constitution) If she were to just take the 4 HP average instead of rolling (which the PHB allows), she would instead wind up with 52 HP, so she's a fair bit tankier than the 35-45 that you presented. Again, no judgement. I just mean this in good fun because you said yourself that you thought you might have done the math wrong

It's pretty blatantly obvious in the anime as well. . . . . . . . . . . We're told her resurrection spell isn't the same as a clerics, and that it had side effects that would bring back what it resurrects "different" than it was before death. She also uses dark magic offensive spells in the show as well. On top of that, there's a huge focus on her having been using magic that's generally considered unsavory or forbidden (like blood magic) which her prior party.members call her out and chastise her for doing to Falon, and it's pretty.obvious they fall into that same skill tree. You just need to know what you're looking for to pretty much pick up on her using those darker, necromancer inclined spells.

26:15 Claws are not finesse weapons, so sneak attack does not affect them. Whether they use dex is irrelevant, that's why barbarian/rogue works

Honestly, I feel like Marcille’s Wisdom should be lower than 16. Through the beginning, her speech and impressions are made to believe she’s far outside of her element. Relying on instructions within text to harvest Mandrakes. Using live bait to attract a giant bat. And often argues about trying to use magic in context of basic situations when simple tools work better. As you said, her being fd elven blood does make her the oldest among the team, but it means that she takes longer to build any reflective experience.

Not sure if you're using UA or not, but Theurgy is a great "School" for your Marcile Wizard. Marcile definitely isn't a practiced healer and is replacing her wizard spells for cleric spells instead of having them naturally.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the structure of Dungeon Meshi isn’t really conducive to the system of DnD? Like DnD is very combat heavy with emphasis on hard damage, which doesn’t really work in DM’s occasional combat with characters who sometimes don’t have weapons/do damage. Maybe Pathfinder would work better with its more defined mechanics for non-damaging combat maneuvers? I also think Index Card RPG might work; it has a lower emphasis on combat as much as it does general encounters. Also, using the magic system, spells have much more of that “occasional, but powerful use” vibe that Marcille’s spells have.

Yeah the dungeon meshi magic system doesn't super translate into dnd. Elven magic maps onto wizards and Gnommish to Druids in terms of fluff and how the caster goes about casting, sure, but both have access to practically all spells regardless of method.

From what we’ve been told and shown she effortlessly casts higher damage spells and does more damage then the dedicated glass cannon, everybody loves her, all anyone can seem to think about is her, and to add on to it her only flaws are mild clumsiness and now as a dragon she has too much power. I can't help but hate Chilchuck. Anyone in fight that can't defend themselves is a liability at best or dead weight at worst. Even Senshi the cook goes above and beyond in a fight. Chilchuck has no excuse.

Chilchuck is a bit weird in that regard, he helped to fight and distract the living armor and despite repeatedly saying he wouldn't fight the dragon he was in the front line. It seems more like he doesn't like fighting and charges a premium to any party that wants him to fight just so he can stay out of it when the situation isn't bad enough to need the extra hands.

This was an issue with older thieves. They were not good at fighting. They were a bloke with boiled leather and a sword. They were the only class with thief skills though. Others couldn't Hide in Shadows or Detect Traps etc. Thieves did level up faster, so they would usually be a level ahead of the group.
