Trigger is also my favorite studio an they did NOT disappoint. I adore everything about this adaptation, and the weekly schedule made me realize how much I prefer that format. It just feels right, like good old days. Also, Yoshinari making a whole dragon animation secuence without even blinking? Hilarious. What a legend
@linesinmotion21 сағат бұрын
The weekly schedule is my preferable way to watch anime, despite how much Netflix sometimes tries to push the binge option on us. And Yoshinari..... The man, the legend. I really want to know what clip it was that he *wanted* to work on, rather than the dragon sequence.

It used to be so hard to come across any dungeon meshi fanart, and after the anime dropped we're just spoiled for choice! It's such a joy to see so many people enjoying a manga that's been a long time favorite personally (it also made physical copies of the manga be more available in my region, as it used to be so so rare to find)

I’ve been really excited to see your take on the DM adaptation because I decided to watch it initially because of your past praise of the series. It’s great, this video is great, and now I want to read ahead even more.

It was a great adaptation, even if I always hope for less stills. And some of the impact of episode 23 and Senshi's reveal was lost in the music and more focus on humor than what I felt appropriate for the situation but eh, all in all it was amazing. BUT the small details in animation in those small character moments was my favorite in the whole show. Just small things that really helped build atmosphere and characters done in the background. And that voice acting was golden, I might even say I preferred the English dub! I'm excited for season 2, and really intrigued to see how crazy stuff will be in the action scenes coming up.

Great video, as always. Makes me want to go back and reread the manga. And when the anime is finished, I'll definitely rewatch it in English. Likewise for Frieren. Consistency isn’t the only important factor in animation. And animation isn’t the only important factor to consider when making a show. So what if the characters are occasionally off-model on purpose? The expressive elasticity suit the scenes it’s used for perfectly. It’s great to see a Japanese studio embrace and experiment with a myriad of styles.
@qs9875 сағат бұрын
@@bleh329 "what if the characters are occasionally off-model on purpose?" then YOU people are wrapping the word "perfectly" , simple. The manga can do expressive and consistency both , Trigger fail. But atleast Trigger didnt self claim prefect...........

Mary sue? Bfffft, u haven’t mentally registered anything about Phos even in the 1st season of a show, let alone the manga, to suggest that. i really like the manga dungeon meshi but the anime cannot deliver the comedy i imagine... is it because of high expectations? i think the best anime manga adaption that can deliver the good comedy is Kaguya-sama: Love Is War...

It's funny you say this, because I don't like the comedy in Kaguya at all 😂😂 Just goes to show how comedy is one of those reaches people so differently!
