Since I enjoy older vehicles, I keep a well stocked toolbox in each car/truck in addition to my garage stock.

i'm the opposite, if it can't be fixed with a leatherman, pocket screwdriver, jack / tire kit, fluids, let it be. there's usually a long story behind "stranded motorists". much as i'd like to help them. 700k miles between my 3 vehicles. exceptions being road trips and hauling toys to riding spots. i won't leave tools in vehicles.

Unique small parts bin on your bench. Paint thinner cans? 👍🍺

Clapped out BridgePort? nope. you covered a TON of items. "Beater" tools, typically a second set you can hammer on, abuse, or loan. NOT your shop set. that Craftsman set is perfect for grab and go driveway or side of the road heros. i don't think i could survive without my 1/4" swivel socket set, but i seldom work on trucks. heh. 3:22 you pick up a screwdriver, 90° ratchet style. i have the blue point 3 piece, grind 1/4" bits shorter for max clearance. Do not under emphasize impact screwdrivers!!, most have a 1/2" or 3/8" drive for sockets too. "Hinged" Parrot jaw pliers. got to have 'em. Never buy wire strippers with the cutting tool behind the hinge. i've switch to a "Swedish Pipe Wrench" from slip jaw pliers, the type where one handle has a threaded adjuster nut. try one. i won't talk about my vices... moving on- i still want an honest anvil. just because. similar story with meters, except, i went to graphing style in '96 ($$$) and mainly use a power probe. built in meter, always directly connected to the battery, instant power and ground overlays to test with. plus paper clips safety pins to back probe. Dwell angle divided by (360 divided by number of cylinders)= Duty cycle. just because meters got dumb. micro torch to solder, never looked back. props on glue style shrink, dielectric grease for days. 2 chargers, 1 "dumb" 6/12V 2/6A to force feed, and a "smart" for AGM, maintenance, and desulfation. no jump box either. but i'm biased against most battery powered tools too. proprietary planned obsolescence. loved the hammers, all the way from BFH to Tinker bell. Two torque wenches here, In/Lb and Ft/Lb. i had 3 tire gauges 1/2psi, 1psi, and truck for the same logic. i've welded and used plasma cutters, but i "got people" mostly for that. few things that didn't make your cut, Kneel pads, drip trays, pans, cookie sheets for disassembly and parts control. parts washer / media cabinet are on my home jobber list, but not vital. hot soapy water fixes everything. 19. Linda's All-Encompassing and Easily Invalidated Theory: If it's clean, it will work. but she also said: 25. There are times when leaving a little bit of dirtyness is better than having a completely clean part. Or what's left of the part.

Believe me I wanted to go on and on. I only scratched the surface. I wanted to talk more about special tools and homemade tools but, the video was already going to be quite long as it was. I didn't even bring up woodworking tools that I have. Scroll saws, circular saws, jug saws, compound miter saws, routers, palm sanders and ect. I didn't mention the sheet metal and body working tools. I didn't realize how many tools I really had until I started talking about them. Haha.

@@MrFixit1 i suspected there was something 'funny' about you when i saw the nail guns hanging near the compressor. All day long I'd biddy biddy bum. (roofer, not framer?) been busy, lack of comments needs to stop. so brings up your next Video subject? suggestions always welcome i bet, but don't want to wag the dog here. i don't want to see you spiral off into hunting projects for content sake "rich man / Topol" as your channel is more about technique and problem solving. i'd say look to your local group, see what they're into.

@@mkuehn5450 I have some projects planned for the future but, right now funds are tight. It's hard to predict what will be interesting to watch and the You Tube Algorithms are still a mystery to me. As far as "hunting content" this will never happen for one I don't hunt or fish haha, and two my time is greatly spent on keeping things running so, repair videos are always going to be a priority on this channel. Although I may veer off topic slightly with riding videos or some other obscure lecture occasionally. Suggestions are always welcome, I'm open to find out what viewers are interested in. Thanks for watching.
