I would never buy an African Twin for myself, BUT I would love to be able to ride one across Asia, Africa, South America, etc. Maybe as a part of a small group of fellow riders. I agree with you that for most "local adventures" a good dirt bike or On/Off road bike would be better all around I think.

@@rexbo5029 not to mention they are pricey also. It would be cool to do some big trips on one.
