Thank you for letting us in on your unique journey. I was diagnosed with Bipolar I in February 2002, at age 55. I've been hospitalized once (November 2005) and prescribed a panoply of pharmaceuticals whose side-effects (tremendous weight gain, irritability, constant fatigue, hand tremors, rapid cycling, suicidal ideation) were much WORSE than the condition itself!!!

+Denise Simpson thank you for watching! I'm right there with you on the side effects. I have put on 30lbs in the last 2 yrs. This is a very difficult disease to live with. The suicidal ideations are the scariest side effects for me. I hope you have a good support system around you. And I wish you all the best! I was recently diagnosed and i have people telling me not to tell anyone either. It’s sad. I am also on an antipsychotic, along with an antidepressant. It works so well.
