I know this is a old video but still wanted to share. Yes, Benji I think that for some cultures some do not take their newborns out until AFTER/AT LEAST 30 days. It gives them a chance for their immunity system to get a little stronger, mom's system to recharge and heal as well. In addition, some believe no cold food for 30 days and hot warm chicken, soups and liquids only! I agree with you both. I didn't care for everyone to touch our newborn as well. I know its nice for them to look but just not touch. Some people are not the cleanest and don't wash their hands after the bathroom or after meals. They don't realize that all those extra chances of (20+ [people) getting the baby sick isn't cool. Thanks for sharing!

Judy I hope you realize how blessed you are to have your hubby around to help and being so attentive and willing. Family too, The majority of us have to go it alone. I had many meltdowns myself crying on the kitchen floor because of being so tired, no help, the baby crying, expected to have the house perfect, and dinner on the table, and wondering how to get a shower in. Life has definitely changed including men thankfully! Your family is so sweet. xo

Benji, I didn't leave the house for 3 months with my kids other than to the doctors because its just something my mom said I should do. She said its best for me and the kids. I can't describe it but you know how they have their morals for people who live back in the country

yes it is normal,benjie, take it easy jst make sure that she wear comfortable clothes.dont forget julianna is already used to,what her mom's doing like going to the shops. But if you want instead of baby buggy, try carrying julianna for the first 4 months,in a baby carrier,coz the baby will feel that she is still inside the tumy specially itz nice for the baby to hear her mother's heart beat. (jst a suggestion)

I believe parents can still live life with a new baby! go out and do what you want. The more you do what you want the easier it is when they are older. Trust me. If you never went anywhere then it would make baby uncomfortable when you do.

HELLO BENJI!... Yes! It truly is quite alright to have your sweet baby girl; "Miss Princess Julianna", out in public by now. The general rule is to keep baby safely indoors at home while the immune system continues growing enough to begin handling an afternoon out with mom & dad after their first 30 day's of life. You + Judy are doing a SUPERB JOB AS FIRST TIME PARENTS by the way, and you are truly "a true joy to watch." Take care & I'm happy to have heard she pooped!!! ~ YaaaaY! ;)

Yes it is normal to have a one month old out. How else will their immune system continue to build? Obviously you should be careful & keep in mind how often they are out. But other than that, she should be fine.

BENJI, YES, its normal & okay to take a one month old out. TRUST. I officially started taking my daughter whos 10 months now out when she was 4 weeks. Nothing will happen to Julianna, she won't get sick or anything of that nature. If U guys just keep her bundled up warm like U guys are she won't get sick. & its actually a good thing for U guys because it will teach U guys how to now deal with a baby in UR everyday life.

I love this video!! Benji's so sweet, I wish my BF took me out shopping after the baby! And to answer benji's question about along your baby out...we took my son out when he was around 2 1/2 to 3 weeks I believe. It was early but it felt normal for us. I feel that whatever works for you, then it's fine.

its fine to take the baby out when shes so young its good for them. when i had my first i didint take him anywhere i was so worried about everything and now hes so shy he never wants to leave the house dunno if thats the reason why but now i had my second and shes so diff and i used to take her everywhere with me , she is not shy what so ever and she loves to go out ....there like day and night

Babies have moms immunity when they are born. Julianna is breastfeeding so she is getting immunity through the milk. I think it's ludicrous to suggest to Benji & Judy that they should keep the baby in for 6weeks to 3months. Yeah if you want Judy to develop PND!! I'm a nurse by the way. Think logically people the baby could be susceptible to any germs from Judy & Benjis family & friends visiting. Yes Benji, its totally normal.. My husband and I took our daughter out at 1 week old, shes been in and out ever since then, shes one now and she loves going out!! Not only is she well behaved, but she enjoys it.. I think you guys should definitely take her out often, she'll get used to it and wont give you a hard time when shes older..

There isn't anything wrong with taking babies out occasionally, and it is good to expose her to the stimulation. I wouldn't worry too much about illness - exposure to small amounts of germs helps strengthen her immune system, and she also gets antibodies from Judy, but it is good that you keep her covered so strangers don't touch her. It's so nice that you are willing to share your life, and I think you guys are great parents!!

Hi Benji and Judy and Julianna. yes it is very normal to be out an about with your little princess. You can still go to the movies with your baby, just feed her right before and she will be fine. I would onnly suggest that you try to not carry julianna all day. I don't know if you guys are doing that. its just a suggestion, feed her, swaddle her and put her in her swing or little bed. this way she gets used to sleeping swaddled and she will sleep longer at night. plunging neckline-cleavage. my daughter had THE HAPPIEST BABY ON THE BLOCK book. she loved it. swaddling was the trick for her. my grandson would sleep so incredibly well. there are NO rules. just do what works best because for you and your baby when you think you have a stage of development figured out, the baby is onto a different stage.

it is 100% ok to take baby out that young in fact it will get her used to different sounds and voices and when she starts seeing thing more clearly it will excite her she will be so amazed :) :) The fresh air is excellent for babies and it also helps them sleep better too

I don't want to read through all the comments, so I don't know if someone else has already said this.. but my babies both had gas issues when I had dairy in my diet. I took out the dairy, and it cleared up. Hope she feels better soon!!

my daughter was constipated from the moment she was born. She had a herniated belly button and we think that was the cause. She was on miralax every day until she was 1

Breastfed babies can go up to 7 days without a bowel movement. Try not to worry, I know it's hard though. Breast milk is so perfect that babies digest most of it.

im just watching your old videos and you were asking if its ok to take a 1 month old baby out. in my family we have do confinement for the mum for 1 month so the mum and the baby is not allow to go out of the house for 1 month. you can google about it and tell me what you think. i know westerns dont do it tho. :D

The doctor always told me that because babies are so prone to getting ill quick. I guess it is just an old tactic I was always told :)
