This week I'm giving you an overview of the tyres that Yamaha fit as stock to their Tenere 700 as well as others I've chosen to run. These are;
Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR
Mitas E-10 Enduro Dakar
Anlas CapraX
The world of tyres is a compromised world and first of all you need to determine what bike you ride, what terrain you ride over and what you expect from a tyre in terms of longevity against grip - both on and off road.
I discuss these options with you here and detail what I've found works for me, my bike and my riding style.

Thanks Pete. I'll be interesting to see what mileage I get out of the Anlas as it should be more. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😀

Very interested to see ho you get on with the new tyre, especially once winter kicks in.

Yes, winter will be the truth maker for it. That said, I've racked a fair few miles so far and have to say I'm pleased. Longer times needed for sure but early signs are encouraging

Replaced scorpion trails on my tiger for bridgestone ax41 for the abr festival. Really grippy off road and not bad on road. Not had in wet yet on road so can't comment but seem good. Noisy when braking though.

I'd be interested to hear what mileage you get in the fullness of time. Tyres cab be such an emotive topic as choice, brand loyalty, cost etc all play a part. Thanks for taking the time to comment, very much appreciated

Thanks for the vid. I'm currently looking at replacing the STRs with a 50/50 tyre and was just about to order the Mitas EO7+. I'll certainly look at the Anlas.

Martin, I've done about 200 miles on the Anlas since making this video. It feels good on the dry trails (we've had no rain yet) and good on the road. I can't comment on longevity yet as that's a long term element for this rear tyre. That said, at the price they are, it seems to make sense just now. I bought mine direct from black circles - this might help if you're UK based. Thanks for your comments and taking the time to watch 👍

@@BikingBuddies Thanks for link -I'm UK based, North East. Did you go for the standard 150/70 R18 at rear?

@Martin Brown, yes I did. I didn't see any reason to change.

Nicw video sir. Im in the 10%gravel and 90% tarmac since i commute. 😊. Those tyres would got torn apart at my use. I do run metzler tourance who feels very solid on gravel and give me the distance l need. Thanks for sharing mate 🇳🇴☕

I ran those tournace on the Tiger 1200 and liked them. As I say in this video, tyres are a compromise and should always be based on what and where you ride. Great to have your comments as always 👍

Yeah its a fire pit to talk about tyres😃. As you said tyres are a personal prefrance, and to me its the metzler l keep coming back to, even on my sportsbikes. You pick the tyre that makes you feel secure.

Hi Paul, have you tried the Anakee wilds as recommended by Yamaha? Thanks for spending the time on the review! 👍😁🏍

No, not on the T7 - although last year on the Triumph Adventure Training course, yhe bikes had wilds on and they felt good. I'm impressed with the Anlas so far, both on and off roads. Although I do appreciate its early days just yet

Hi Can you tell me what they are like on the road please

No problem at all. I've done around 500 miles on them so far and all in the dry. They feel very good and confidence inspiring. That said, they are a 50/50 so don't expect track-esk handling from them. I've yet to run them in the wet, but so far, both on and off road, I'm very pleased 😀
