Really enjoying the content. Glad to see this video. Any time I have attempted to sand I seem to make things worse lol.

Thanks, for sure I have had my share of bad experience with it, Its not one of my favorite things to do with modeling due to you can go to far and take it down to the plastic, Thanks for the comment!

I've got those pads...i cut them in two to make them smaller...mine are colour coated so i can still know which grit im using. It helps in tight areas. Cheers from 🇨🇦🍻

Looks like MCW are lacquer paints? Can you polish using Mothers Power Plastic (for example) over water-based eg Vallejo for airbrush? Some Vallejo paints come out flat - can you still polish those for a shine or do you need to apply a clear coat first?

I know this is a couple years old. I'm new to building hobby. Can I apply a clear coat after I've wet sanded the model car body??? Thank you for your time

Appreciate you watching Dale! I may pick up some Tamiya polish on another video to see if its a better way or not, the Mothers did work vary well.

Does this apply to clear coats also? Seems like every time I wet sand and polish after the clear, i end up with very fine scratches and feel like i make it worse.

Hey, I'm Chris(C.D. Scale Models) that's my Y/T channel......I built this very kit this past October & it's WONDERFUL kit 2 build......ZERO fit issues at all. Great video on the MCW paint.......I like enamels but I know they take so long 2 dry & I'm not into dehydrators personally, probably because I've never used them. I noticed U didn't prime this kit body, do U never, sometimes or always prime your bodies? Your paint method deems like Donn Yost's, BTW.....I just subbed your Chanel. Great stuff......thanks & speak 2 U soon!!!!!!
@kregskorner88512 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris.. Thanks for the sub! You should try the MCW with the hardener it will set up for you in about a week on its own.. For most of my enamel paints I do not primer most of the time, have never had any concerns. For lacquers I always primer, due to the thinner runs hot and could damage the plastic.. I just recently purchased the dehydrator so I'm sort of new to that game lol, Appreciate you checking out the channel...
